Ok, this has been driving me nuts and can't seem to figure out why the game is acting like this. on an Inder Moon Light from Spain.
Basically. You credit up the game. Start a game. Kicks the ball in the shooter lane. As soon as the ball hits a switch. It starts scoring 1000's points a sec until the ball drains.. Also the bonus advances in each of these scores, and advances the animated rocket in the backbox.
After watching videos on youtube.
Seems the spinners score 1000 points. Advance bonus with each spin, and advance the backbox rocket. The Spinners are also , U optos. The arm of the spinner travels through a U opto to break the beam and score the points. These have never worked on my machine. In fact, someone disconnected the opto boards and put a large diode between 2 of the connectors to fool the switch matrix that it wasn't there. I have fixed the wiring correctly and they are hooked up. but now it has this constant scoring issue.
Sent the boards out , MPU board, and OPTO boards out. Entire switch matrix checks out. Opto boards are fine as well.
Checked out the optos themselves that on connected to the opto boards via wire and a 5 pin molex plug. Right side was the correct opto type, and checked out ok, with a 5v applied and ohm meter. Left side, didn't work. Waiting for the correct optos to show up to fix. But did a sample to bypass the opto with alligator clips on pins 1 and 5 on the opto board. Still has the issue and right side opto does not score or work.
So i'm at a loss. There doesn't seem to be a switch test for inder games. which makes things more frustrating.
and if the opto is not working or out, why would it score nonstop once a switch is activated on the playfield?
Also, it doesn't matter what switch it is. can be a pop, lane, target, whatever. They all activate the constant scoring. Only ones that don't activate that scoring is coin door switches.
