    If I'm not mistaken these rings are only advised on the latest games with soft cleatcoat.
    I wouldn't use them on a WCS.

    The damaged star posts usually happen because the plastic post get old and brittle (I've heard wrong cleaning products cannmake posts more brittle) and because they probably used an electric screwdriver or drill to get the posts in.
    Just buy nice new starposts and tighten them by hand - just tight enough.
