    I have owned two GMC Canyon trucks. Started with a 2016 crew cab SLT V6 and traded it in for a 2017 crew cab Denali with the Duramax diesel. The dealer told me I could get around 30mpg when I bought it. To my surprise on my last trip I averaged 32.1mpg going about 70mph. I used to have a full-sized Sierra and really like the smaller size of the Canyon for city driving. If I need to pull anything the diesel is rated at 7600lbs which is more than I ever pulled with my half ton truck.

    Just got back from a 600 mile road trip in my 2017 GMC Canyon with the Duramax diesel. My last trip was during the winter so I was running winter blend diesel which usually hurts the mpg. Got over two mpg better this time with an average of 34.3mpg. Managed to do the entire trip on one tank of fuel.
