Toyota is bigger then the "Big 3" so... are they not the "Detroit 3"? Well actually they should really be referred to as the Detroit 2 since Chrysler/Ram got kicked out of the "Detroit 3" club when FIAT bought them.
Certain rusty Tacoma and Tundra frames are being replaced under warranty or bought back from what I understand. Pretty impressive that Toyota would put that kind of money into such old trucks. The Detroit 2 and Fiat/Chrysler/Ram products of that era are all in the junk yards now.
People justify buying Detroit 2 plus the other one with the $20,000 rebates they offer thinking they got a good deal and later on wonder why resale on them stinks.
Buy a Toyota...
