Yep, that sure is a Tundra!

I’ll take my 2018 Cummins over any other motor. That’s what matters on a truck. Almost 1000 lbs of torque factory. Sure the trans on dodge isn’t the best but that’s relatively cheap if it needs rebuilding down the road.

Body & interor are cheesy as well. Look at any older dodge, no contest. They just dont hold up

I only own them for 1-3 years anyhow then resell and rebuy. Body is much better in newer rams than older ones. I’ve owned every brand truck. Cummins is best motor by far. Chevy sucks all the way around I had a 16 Silverado top end model. Was like a 65k truck. It was a turd performance wise, interior was not nearly as nice as dodge. Owned a raptor, was around 90k, it was just an overpriced gasser nothing special. Better interior than Chevy not as nice as dodge is. Had a power stroke, comes close to a Cummins but the bed is shit in fords and the interior isn’t great as mentioned.

Here’s some options on the dodges and what mine has: air suspension, light bar under tailgate, tailgate assist, automatic wipers, power back window, heated rear seats, heated and cooled front seats (all seats are leather) and of course all the other gimmes like lumbar, dual cameras, parking assist sensors, automatic folding and extending towing mirrors etc

I agree old dodges are not impressive but the newer ones are nice. New dodges also have the 13”? Screen which is nice.

I am partial as I can buy a 90k-100k sticker priced ram for around 60k-70k as well. I get solid deals on them so that just puts them over the top IMO. EGR delete and im at 25 MPG average too. Power strokes are a second to me. I wouldn’t buy foreign so they are not an option for me. I need something that can pull 20-25,000 lbs.
My trailer full with my route equipment can easily get up to that weight. Also note the Chevy in the background, only have that one because my dads cheap and it was $170 a month lol.

Oh and the alpine sub and speaker upgrade for dodge is better than any other factory upgrade speakers by far.

I have had at least one truck my entire driving life, over 43 years,There was long one's, tall ones, short ones, brown ones. (my favorite song) Love my 2011 Honda Ridgeline. Not the fanciest but what a great truck, although the 2018 model does look a lot better. I have not had one problem with it since new. Nothing, not even a light bulb go out. A pinball machine fits perfect with about 1" left front to back, tailgate open up and down and side to side. Great water cooler, hidden compartment under the bed floor.
Drives and feels like a car... Plus they are #9 best resale percentages of all trucks/suvs.
My jacked up, 40" tire trucks are behind me now...

    Quoted from rushfan:

Certain rusty Tacoma and Tundra frames are being replaced under warranty or bought back from what I understand. Pretty impressive that Toyota would put that kind of money into such old trucks. The Detroit 2 and Fiat/Chrysler/Ram products of that era are all in the junk yards now.

I've installed many of these Toyota truck frames with some having mileage up into the 400k miles. This type of repair costs the manufacture upwards of $10-12k per frame so when you go to purchase a new truck,no matter which brand, just make sure that company will stand behind its product for the long run..

Bought a truck for the first time 4 months ago and went with a Ram. Same use as you, not towing really, just tired of cramming stuff in a car.
Last couple vehicles I've owned were rebuilt titles. Never had a problem with them. This is the same, 2017 Ram Big Horn, 2400 miles. Window sticker $46,000, paid $21,000.
Lots of toys on it, and the 305 hp V6/8 speed transmission combo delivers 24mpg. Crazy. And rides fantastic. Wish I'd done it years ago.
And like mentioned above, the Alpine speaker/sub option kicks ass.

Just got back from a 600 mile road trip in my 2017 GMC Canyon with the Duramax diesel. My last trip was during the winter so I was running winter blend diesel which usually hurts the mpg. Got over two mpg better this time with an average of 34.3mpg. Managed to do the entire trip on one tank of fuel.

I like Toyota trucks due to all the reasons already posted.
My old V6 2007 Tacoma hauled a 19ft travel trailer from Seattle to Stockton, CA and back. Required a weight distribution hitch. Had my pedal to the floor up through the hills but it made them all at speed.
Currently driving a 2015 Tacoma, its my work horse. Sometimes I take it up to the mountains for snowboarding. No complaints yet.
Pic of it at the dealership when I got it.
