    Looking to make a cheap spray booth for clear coating fields. I may only use it a few times.

    Looking if the OTS is worth it https://www.homedepot.com/p/HomeRight-Spray-Shelter-8-5-ft-x-6-ft-White-Polyester-C900038-M/206260426

    I am thinking I need to position the play field lower (maybe even spray on my knees) to the ground on that one as its 5.5' high and probably tapers. I also need to use a tarp to make a proper door as the one with it is made of mesh.

    or should I go more traditional route and make one from PVC pipe and tarp?

    In a similar situation. I didn't know about that OTS tent. I'm usually all about a DIY method, but for $50 it seems pretty solid.

    I built the 7x7 paint shelter, it works fine.

    I modded it slightly with a basic furnace filter mounted on one side and crappy box fan on the other.

    As for that Schedule 40 pipe: Get the grey electrical version (much cheaper than the white plumbing version).

    For connectors go to Lee Valley (lots of cool connectors you can't get in a plumbing shop.

    Curious about the longevity of the OTS...I like the idea, but won't you be coating the inside with paint? How long until it begins to flake? What about the curing? How long does it have to sit before you store it.
