You are in NH. Batteries can freeze if they are dead. If this is a new vehicle the computer could detect a battery problem, and light the service light. An issue with the battery will show up right away. New car dealers do use remote lots, as there is usually no way to hold the units that the manufacture insists they carry, at the dealer site..
