I have a RBION and when you turn it on it says "OPEN COIN DOOR". I do that and the message goes away until the next power cycle. I thought it had to do with the "Tech Alert" setting, but I've done a factory default install and it still happens. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem with my xfiles game. It says Open Door everytime I turn the machine on and won't safe the settings such as the volume or the free play after you turn it off and back on. I replaced the boards 3 double A batteries, but no luck. Any ideas?

Battery power actually getting onto the board ? You could have a bad battery holder.

The dot matrix works fine so I assume it's getting power, right?

Yes, the dot matrix is getting power.

Nothing to do with "is battery power getting onto the board".
