    Quoted from Playdium:

There's the nostalgia to them that makes them special such as the artwork and sounds that brings us back to our childhood.

To be honest, I was born a little late for EM's though I bumped into one or two back in the day. There is something so utterly charming about how they sound and play that makes a number of them very enjoyable machines to play.

Ok, so now this auction is over, what do the book makers in Vegas have the odds at for at least one of these 'classic and rare' machines 'with some beautiful patina, adding to the character' finds it's way onto the Pinside marketplace by a newbie, and how long will it take to show up, at an astronomical asking price?

    4 to 1 ?

    Quoted from gdonovan:

I have more or less heard this a dozen times. My last pickup, a Dixieland was in the owners home 30 years.

    Consider yourself very lucky then.
I know that was the story behind that "Melody" you snagged back in the Spring.

    Yes you do!

Chilling next to Hearts and Spades in the line up.

The artwork to Melody and Sing Along is one of my favorites.

What’s it like playing Melody/Sing Along in the summer time? I know it’s a dumb reason but it’s partly why I’ve not pursued them.

Like playing a pin any other time, fun!

    Quoted from Mopar:

Better yet. "I bought this house and want them out $100.00 a piece". A Yukon and Dodge City.
This actually happened a couple weeks ago from a fresh craigs list ad. 45 minutes away. The pics
looked okay. I'll be home at 5:00 I said I'll be there. A couple hours later he called saying someone
offered $250.00 per. Before I hung up, he was aware I wasn't extremely happy..

You mean those two that were encrusted in white mold?

After now seeing his new ad and additional pics he post, doesn't look so good.
I recalled and he said that other guy never showed up but someone's taking a look tonight.
If not sold, I still have interest, but not $200.00 per. Could use the Yukon bg..

    Where's the link?

My God, my allergies are kicking in just looking at it. Nope...

I'd have them pay me to remove them!

I once traded 6 small balls (for a small ball bowler) for a Gold Strike in similar condition.
Got it to be an 8.5
If still there, I'll take a look, but most likely won't be putting much time in them..
