    Quoted from pezpunk:

He's implying TSA agents intentionally target white people instead of Muslims because of political correctness. Say what you want about TSA agents abusing their power, but this specific complaint is ridiculous.

That's a good point. They certainly give them extra attention as well, I agree with that.

    Quoted from Spencer:

I went out for dinner last night with my wife $225 with beer at $9 a glass. Dinner was gross and the beer was flat. I'll take Vegas anyday.

    Come and visit Bordeaux then
I was having lunch (*) in this gourmet restaurant last Friday.
    http://www.lepavillondesboulevards.fr/lepavillondesboulevards/

40 euros menu ($45), including a glass of good wine and coffee.
    http://www.cartesurtables.com/lepavillondesboulevards/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2017/05/Pause-déjeuner-1.pdf

Fantastic experience. Great food served with class at an affordable price.

PS: it's not Vegas but we have a Casino in Bordeaux too!

(*) dinner is way more expensive.

Ah, I meant the New York New York casino in Vegas. I thought that was what they were referencing. Are there pins in the NYNY casino?
PavBall and I mostly hang with Brenda and Chris when we are in actual NY the last couple years; he's taken us by Modern and I've heard that laundromat has a BBB and some other rare titles (must make it out there).

Fun place to stay Tiger and MGM across the street.

Extreme Pinball has a bunch of pins in the boardwalk arcade by the roller coaster

I've been to NYNY, doesn't it host Zoomanity (fun adult only show)? Never saw any pins there.

Zumanity is a show I want to see next. A cirque du soleil show

The game room is really fun for Vegas. Extreme P is on here so you might get the lineup before you go. He just put an AS pro in there

    #106 6 years ago

Cirque is great, I saw Love back when it first opened and it was totally stunning.

We are seeing that tomorrow. Anyway enough about tsa. I and my wife are pissing money away on the roulette table.

The old lady was not searched because someone thought she was radicalized. She was searched because she is an easy target to use in smuggling and she's in a metal chair. Without her knowing anyone with bad intentions could have planted something in her chair. She's a soft target.

Let's be real, he means Muslims. He's implying TSA agents intentionally target white people instead of Muslims because of political correctness.

How exactly does the tsa know a person is Muslim? Do they have a mark affixed to their clothing identifying themselves as Muslim? I have a relative who is Muslim. White as the wind driven snow. I shit you not.

    #113 6 years ago

If CenterFlank were with us he would say:

Those two guys have spent way too much time with the TSA agents at the airport to think that's normal when they arrive in Vegas.

You cannot be serious right? There are exceptions to everything but I think that most Muslims are pretty recognizable. Duuuuh!!!

    #115 6 years ago

I think the point is that "Muslim" is a religion, i.e. a social practice rather than an actual race, and the demographics of people who believe in it are fairly diverse.

Yeah, you better be hammered if you sit in the front. The pins are kinda in an out of the way spot as I recall. Vdara and Aria are a short monorail ride to NYNY.

Most Muslims are recognizable period. You can use your exceptions all you want to but you know what im saying is true. What you are saying though is the reason why EVERYBODY should be searched before boarding an airplane.

    #119 6 years ago

I think the guys in iron maiden had the right idea to buy thier own plane.

    If you travel a lot.

You're arguing just to argue. Also, I don't know what you're saying is true. What I do know you're saying is incredibly miopic and terribly uniformed. The fact is, 1.6 billion (with a B) or 26% of the world population worship Islam and are muslims. For you to think they all look like a middle easterner is painfully foolish. Thankfully, those charged with our safety see things a touch broader than that. Additionally, you are assuming (incorrectly I might add) I'm against pat downs. The issue I had was pezpunk stereotyping a religion with an ethnicity. I found that ironic.

It's 4 1/2 hours to Atlanta from North Carolina by car. We used to fly down but I can drive faster than flying now and the gas is way cheaper than the ticket.

The hour and a half early, the "screening", then the flight and baggage on the other end.

    Quoted from zr11990:

Here is my take on the TSA. First of all that hire the bottom of the barrel. Its like they have a goal to pick the worst employees that can find. I don't believe that that are effective in stopping any kind of highjackiing or anything else. They are to busy feeling up grandma or some middle class working person thanto take the chance on offending someone who looks like they need to be screened. A criminal with intent to do harm is not going to go through the processes that law abiding people do. The tsa is more for control and to make it look like they are doing something. I do not trust the government in any form.</blockquote

Here is my take on you. Moron.

I don't care about the world, I care about the United States, and of the people that worship the Islam religion here in the U.S., about 99.999 percent of them are Muslim. I realize there are a handful of people that are Americans that decide they want to worship the Islam religion, but it's a very very very minute percentage of our population.

Thats why we should just go ahead and pat everybody down though, because you don't know who is who these days. Better safe than sorry, and if you don't like it or agree with it then don't fly or move to another country or something. The risk of terrorism is too high to let people aboard an airplane unchecked.

Uhhhh you know 'muslim' is a religion and not a skin color, right? And that there are literally millions of Americans who are also Muslims?

I have literally no idea, actually, unless you are using the word "American" in a racist way that excludes people of Arab descent. so if I've interpreted your post wrong, then please clarify this statement:

    You bet me to it.

The largest race of Muslims are Indonesians. That is not in the Middle East.

And as far as American Muslims, I can name one of them ... he was quite famous.

If you flew Delta in the old days and you asked the attendant for a set of wings they would give you a pin about 2" long in the shape of an airplane. Now you could not bring that on board.

    #131 6 years ago

    Yeah..uh...wow.

Trying to figure out who follows Islam that isn't a "Muslim".... pretty sure there's no Christians that are following Islam...or Atheists...uh.... no wait, I got it, the Jewish are the ones that follow Islam, right? And the Bhuddists follow Christianity? Oh screw it, I give up. This crap is way too complicated.

Why do you keep throwing the race card out there for? That's at least two times I've seen you do that to someone. How the he'll does me using the word American make me a racist? That's probably one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I am far from being a racist but I definitely don't feel the need to prove that to some Moron on the Internet so I'm not even going to try.

Hah, thanks. I don't want anyone banned, though. I just want people to realize there are 3 million Americans who are Muslim. (Also, it'd be nice to acknowledge that people of any skin color can follow any religion, particularly in this country)

Furthermore, casually equating Muslims with terrorists is problematic, considering how many massacres in America have been perpetrated by extremists of religions or belief systems other than Islam.

    Muslim does not = foreigners

Here's a link to 24 celebrities in the US. Some are natural born Americans to natural born American parents. Notables include shaq and Dave Chappell.

What's so bad about choosing a religion rather than being born into one? Seems far more sensible to me. Do you only respect people's religious preferences when they were indoctrinated from birth? Serious, honest question. Not trolling.

If you don't like it don't fly. I don't mind a little inconvenience if it helps keeping planes from crashing in to buildings again.

Except TSA has never inhibited a terrorist attack. You could say they're a deterrent, but you'd be wrong; they fail 95% of breech tests.

It is, though, important to recognize that people of the Muslim faith are not only populous around the world, but are of many ethnicities, and there's a lot of really sad and nasty stuff that gets thrown at people just for looking a certain way that's propagated by ignorance of that fact.

Whether it's right or wrong, you aren't and can't change the way people think so you may as well stop trying. Just live your life and enjoy it and do your part to treat people with respect and don't worry about the rest of the people out there.
