Quoted from pin_coop:I am considering having an electrician come in to add a dedicated plug for the machine, but I don't even know what to tell him.
Just because the house is over one hundred years old doesn't mean your wiring is - It is probably worth while to have an electrician come take a look at your overall system regardless of the issue with the pin. It is possible you still have some knob and tube wiring, ungrounded, or aluminum wiring if it was redone in the 70s, and maybe 40-60 amp service (modern homes have 100 amp minimum, most have 200 amp). If you don't have grounded outlets, which aren't required except in wet locations, you would definitely want it on your pin circuits. Even though the pins are rated at 8 amps, they rarely draw more that 2-3 amps, so a 15 amp circuit is more than plenty. However, if you have room/ever think you might want more, put a 20 amp circuit in (very little extra cost). You can put four games on that without issue or worry.
