Looking for some help with an Old Chicago Coin Door/Mechanical Board connectors. It looks like the wiring has been modified, and round, bead-like diodes added in. A couple wires had been soldered, bypassing the connector, or rather soldered to it. In this first pic the arrow on the left edge is pointing to a solder blob. The questionable component is in the second pic.
In this last pic, you can see how one lead of the component has been soldered into the prong and another wire has been twisted onto it for reasons unknown. It looks like this was done on three wires. I don't see how this is a legit repair because it makes the coin door / mechanical board non-serviceable because it can't be unplugged for service or replacement.
And are these little bead diodes?
