After owning both, Oktoberfest wins here. Wonka was too repetitive and plagued with issues. Oktoberfest is a fresh design with great strategy and plenty of modes.

Quoted from GrandFireball1:

Definitely agree with you here. Wonka to me is nothing unique and kinda boring. Oktoberfest is a little clunky, but has tons of interesting shots and awesome rules. So many ways to play it and funny modes.

Hate to say it, but Wonka is too smooth. The ramps are easy and easily repeatable, there isn't a difficult shot in the game. Plus there's only 4 factory modes that really matter, when you're playing through them for the third in the same game, it's kind of boring.

Heres a taste...enjoy. Reminds me of an 8th graders power point project on their trip to oktoberfest....lol

Those are old, the new ones aren't going to win any awards but they're fine. Especially since they have probably 10x the screens that Wonka has and Wonka is pretty much full of tiny repeating clips. Here are the new ones:

Quoted from TheLaw:

From those shots I don;t think it looks that bad, other than the arrows/wedges pointing at things.
Wait, is that bro and frau there the whole time and only that smaller box changes?

They are on the backglass, the display is the same size as a Stern.

Quoted from gliebig:

There's a lot more to the Wonka display than appears at first glance.

Unfotunately that screen is the only thing showing 95% of the time on Wonka. The rest are 5 second movie clips that don't have any sound.

Stein Race is one of my favorite modes in any game. My wife played it the other day and asked me what to do. I told her to use both buttons on the right with her right hand and you have to drink your beer in the other while you play. She was cracking up the whole time and almost finished her beer.

Quoted from pinballslave:

Does the game actually recognise if you managed to finish your beer and award you some victory points if you do?

That's in the next update, plus you can install a mini keg in the cab and a tap in the front.

Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

Were you on the newest code? They implemented a fix for the left ramp shot. I played for about an hour yesterday and had no issues shooting the left ramp. The ramp shot fed by the upper right flipper was a different story. That shot kicked my a$$, but when I had the magnet release timing correct, I could hit it.

Rollercoaster ramp is easily hittable. I'll get coaster MB usually once per game. I'll usually hit beer barrel ramp twice per game and it holds the balls between games. Once it's dialed in, the games difficulty is right on for home use. Just difficult enough to tease you and keep you coming back for more. It's the opposite for Wonka.
