Quoted from LTG:Politics aren't allowed on Pinside.
I hope monkeys still are.
LTG : )
Monkeys and humans aren't all that much different, you know.

Quoted from IdahoRealtor:I'm starting to notice more women at shows and new women are joining our league all the time. Perhaps Emily doesn't speak for all women.
It seems some women I meet are hoping anybody would be willing to grab their a$$, even if its just some monkey.
My mother still thinks it's funny how a goat started chewing on her skirt at the petting zoo when I was a child. lol. At least she still has a sense of humor.
Would a bunch of monkeys playing musical instruments be politically correct and family friendly enough for pinside?

Quoted from Zablon:I'm waiting until someone comes out saying they were molested by clowns. Then pinball will be in a world of hurt.
Look no further than one of the recent pinball clowns.

Quoted from Zablon:That's kind of funny because I was going to bring up what are all these stand up people going to do with their rock/metal pinball machines when their favorite bands go through the current #metoo phase. Then their tolerance and integrity will be tested.
Lots of hypocrisy for sure.
I'm sure you could go thru just about any of these holier than thou people's games and find plenty of that for sure.
Quoted from Eryeal:It still amazes me that so many here see absolutely no difference between a monkey reaching under a skirt and scantily clad women.
To me it's just like the goat that was chewing on mom's skirt.
Do you think that was a sexual gesture like the animal knew and intending it to be that?
Quoted from Zablon:Just think...this little minor change that actually fits the theme could have saved all this hoopla.
If you can also change that fat, juicy, hot dog about to enter that lady's lips into a hamburger, you may be onto something!
Quoted from Multiballmaniac1:Stop monkeying around. This is a serious issue.
Quoted from robotron:you are from seattle thats another planet to me.
I heard women are running the joint up there, and monkeys and men alike walk around with their tails tucked tight between their legs.
Quoted from Eryeal:I mean this is sinking to the absolutely ridiculous. You are comparing a real life goat chewing on a skirt to a graphic which portrays a monkey putting his hand up a girls skirt.
What's ridiculous is comparing a cartoon image to a real life incident.
Honestly there's going to be no winning either side of this argument, we all have our own opinions on the matter, but it looks like the complainers won by the monkey being removed.
Long gone are the days when a pinball company could throw a little humor or slight of hand in their pinball artwork, without someone getting offended or bent out of shape. That's just the way it is. I guess we are all gonna have to get used to that now.
But before throwing any more stones, make sure to check the entire history of everybody and everything that was ever involved in any pinball license or theme from now on so you can come up with reasons why it shouldn't be made before it gets this far.
Thank you.
