Quoted from Sijcolo:

I’m having issues with the ball not registering on the left ramp. It registers in test mode but doesn’t during game play.

Octoberfest now on location at Pocketeer Billiards in Buffalo NY. Sitting right next to Houdini from American Pinball.
Enjoy.

Awesome I will update the list!

Quoted from Static1976:

Picked my game up at pintastic. Was fortunate to have Joe Balcer sign my machine he even helped me load it.
Have been loving playing it ever since.[quoted image]

Glad you had a chance to meet Joe!
Outside of being one of the best designers working in the industry today he is a great guy that has an incredible passion for what he does and goes the extra mile for the customers/fans of our games.

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on this... it's not been an easy decision with so many great titles out there at the moment, but this game does seem to have the biggest fun/humour element, which I personslly think is very important in a pinball... re options, I think the inner side decals are standard, correct? And shaker motor, is this available as an option? Do people think the invisiglass is beneficial in a properly lit room? I.e. is it primarily for stopping reflections from poorly positioned room lighting, or is there a benefit in stopping reflections from the game display itself? One final question to all owners, if there was one thing you would change on this game, what would it be?
Dankeschön, meine damen und Herren!

Topper and art-blades are included
Shaker motor, Knocker kit and magic glass are add ons, all really add to the game IMHO

Thanks for this! I'm in... I just pulled the trigger!

When you get it send me pics
As far as I know that will be our first Oktoberfest in the Czech Republic!

Quoted from pinballslave:

I'm guessing I can order these as add-ons from AP?

You can order them from the American Pinball website or I am sure your local distributor can help you out as well.
Though I would STRONGLY recommend buying magic glass from someone local, shipping a sheet of glass intercontinental is a risky and expensive task.

Quoted from pinballslave:

have nothing to do with Oktoberfest

I haven't been to the one in Munich since the 80's so I don't know about tickets there, but in the US most large festivals and fairs sell tickets for beer, food, and rides so only one place is collecting cash rather than at each tent/ride.
Also some states have weird laws about selling alcohol at open air events so they sell tickets which are redeemed for beer so they technically aren't selling the beer.

Quoted from pinballslave:

what exactly was the issue with the old one?

We would tell you but company policy and the sealed court order prevent us from discussing it publicly
(that was a joke btw)

Quoted from pinballslave:

they do some stunning artwork that lure people in and then scrap it for the production games... not good IMO.

The original back glass was never in production it was on the prototypes only, there were real people's likeness on it that were never intended to go public, they were prototype only and less than 10 were made. Then add to that the monkeygate stuff...

The final production back glass was the back glass at shows and in all our advertisement.
That being said I believe you are going to thoroughly enjoy the game

Quoted from mpgeden:

My Oktoberfest starting to have the same issue. Very loud buzzing sound with the bar door closing, then vibrating. Takes away from wanting to play it is so loud. I can see the bar door closing and vibrating. I haven't downloaded the latest update. Should that take care of the problem?

Good tips, thanks paul_from_gilroy and ltg! I'll report back. I need to check that coil sleeve too. Could just be worn.

don't hesitate to reach out to Barry with any technical questions https://www.american-pinball.com/support/service/
he doesn't browse these forums as much as some of us, but he is always eager to help!
