I didn't read the whole thread, but my 2 cents on the door: Don't go to a lot of trouble and expense just to get the coins working. Even if you do get it all sorted out, it gets really old in a home environment in about a week or so. The whole "experience of dropping a coin" really is not worth all the pain and hate involved on an ongoing basis, much less having un unFck somebody else's mess.
