Quoted from AlexF:I was recently told by a fellow Williams collector that the unknown artist is Louis Reynard.
Quoted from o-din:I heard it mentioned that a French artist might have done the work on Big Daddy. Still one of my favorite art packages.
Thats what Sam H. likes you to think,
but i feel Ole Louis Reynard,
did not show up until after 1965,
That unknown artist from early 60s BLY and WMS games
is one of my favs also,
having also done BLY Star Jet and Wild Wheels and Magic Circle and
WMS Soccer and '63 Big Deal and Teacher's Pet.
I got a Palooka, but ashamed that i have yet to set it up and play it.
In part cause my game is missing the plastics (light shields),
or at least they are all toasted and brittle and curled beyond recognition.
Quoted from o-din:Who is that mystery artist?
I think this mystery artist is also responsible for the great artwork on United's Sky Raider gun game
and Bally Moon Shot and BLY Campus Queen and WMS Whoopee and WMS Pretty Baby.
A lot of his art shows a good deal of influence (swipes) of
Milton Caniff (of Terry & Pirates and Steve Canyon fame)
Ahhh
I fondly remember eating pancakes at Sambo's at
south end of 101 interchange in Gilroy CA years and years ago.
I think it is a Denny's now.
Agree
Also I think there are other art packages
(more than commonly acknowledged by pinball books or reference sites)
where some artist did the BG and another did art for PF and/or plastics set.
or where someone (Like Stenholm)
may have help touch up faces and other areas where Parker might have done
the layout or roughs of figures or background.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:I mean, WT actual F is going on in this artwork?
The two ladies are going to unzip the lad's pants
and then doo their best to bang his gong?
Quoted from Sea_Wolf:Having this thing in a lineup would ruin the look of your whole game room.
It being so bad is what makes it so great.
