FYI, I just spoke to Marvin (MJPinballs). The Ohio show was slated to move to another building in Niles due to the demolition of the Eastwood expo center. The logistics of the new building did not accommodate a pinball show very well and the promoters have decided to return it to its old location.

    Emidio's
48 E Bath Rd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223

    SEE YOU THERE.

    #3 8 years ago

The Expo center was nice. It was also 30 miles closer for me. Its to bad the tore it down. That said I always have a good time at Emidios,Lots of great deals there in the past.

    Quoted from bonanza:

    dates of show?

    March 31, April1 & 2

    Quoted from twisty4678:

I'm confused, thought this was at the creek side golf dome?

    As of today,no longer

    #31 8 years ago
    Quoted from shlockdoc:

Emidios is gross - like a supermarket left for dead. I'm out. Bummer. Makes Allentown look like Las Vegas. Worst hall I ever attended. Good luck. What a shame. I am sure Ohio has something better to offer.

Obviously you have yet to figure that out. Thats exactly what it is ...down and dirty trade show. The promoters of this show are the separate promoters of both the EXPO and the new Cleveland show. These shows are in hotels with room service, and full bars (my personal favorite )
This show is awesome for straight fun/trade/shop/buy/sell.... I would tell you you would be missed but you really dont wish to be there in the first place sooooooo.... see you in Allentown ( I'll be with the dirty drunks in the parking lot /RV stop by

    Quoted from Deez:

I want to freshen my collection. All my games are for sale. Just shoot me an offer.

    Hows $42.50

    #33 8 years ago

50% of the show that involve pinball are known for the bathrooms. OH, and personal hygiene.

    #39 8 years ago
    Quoted from shlockdoc:

There must be one other spot besides this in the state of Ohio. I/blockquote>

Obviously you have not spent a lot of time in Ohio. We found a better place, then they tore it down

    Quoted from shlockdoc:

Pay for tickets in Allentown and support the show instead of squatting in the lot it helps the hobby.

So you incorrect assumption is that we RV all the way to Allentown and don't go to the show ?

    #61 8 years ago
    Quoted from Deez:

    Dirty squatter!!

I know right, Its like the Cleveland show all over again

    I'll bring some caviar

If I can find a dock I'll be there also

    Quoted from Deez:

Planning on bringing TSPP, Joker Poker and an asteroids cocktail depending on how my back feels that day and the weather.

    How nice is TSPP

    #149 8 years ago

Last year was the one year it moved. Now it's back

    #156 8 years ago
    Quoted from mjpinballs:

I thought a bit of toilet humor was in order. For those of you who were offended in the past by the bathrooms,Marvin said the owners of Emeidios have remodeled them.

    Quoted from Gundam_Pilot_:

So generally speaking the way it works is something like this. You pay to play each game in the tournament area. Over and above your entry fee to the show. It could be $5 a play or 5 plays for $20 (these are not the rates but an example). It goes with scoring called "herb scoring" that works along the lines that players try to score the highest they can on each game. Scores are from 100-1 where the highest qualifying score on a game will score you 100 points and the lowest will score you 1. This works for all qualifying games in the tournament. So let's say there are 7 games in the tournament, the highest amount of points that someone could get could be 700 points (100 points per game X7). And you can play any game as many times as you want as long as you pay for the entry. For instance if you get the top score on a game, it will not be likely that you will NEED to play it again because you wil get the most points (or near most points) possible. But if you do awful on another game, you may want to play it a few times to take the best possible score you can get. Though not likely, someone could play all games and put up monsters on ever game and not need to play again, on the other hand someone could play 30 games to qualify.
Usually this tournament setup I just described only gets you past qualifying, then there's playoffs. The playoffs are always a head-head setup and is at the disgression of who runs the tourney as to how many people will make playoffs. Usually it's something like tip 12 players in qualifying will be able to play playoffs. Generally the top 2 competitors that qualified will get a buy for the first round then it will be 3rd ranking vs. 12th ranking player, then 4v11, 5v10, 6v9, 7v8.
I hope this helps you a little bit in understanding how this works

Id like a video instruction please

So day two of the show is over. It's been nothing but a great time. Games being bought, games being sold, deals being made, hanging out with out with friends and meeting new people. Dylan got to come out and spend the day today. He enjoyed playing games and meeting A bunch of my pinball buddies. image_(resized).jpegimage_(resized).jpeg

The show was everything I enjoy about this hobby. I got to make some new friends and hang out with old friends. The selection of machines was great IMO although I didn't play much. Bought a beautiful TSPP from Kawydud (By the way ,that game was packed tighter than a ducks ass. Thanks for giving it that extra attention.) Sold an game to Amkoepfer ,Made a great deal with Scott Weir for a pin I didn't even know I wanted,LOL,met Gnatty, PinRob, Blackbeard and to many other great people in this hobby.
This was my sons second show ,but the first where he was hanging with me and my grown-up dysfunctional misfit friends, and he had a blast. We won't be sharing all the things we learned with mom. I got to play the first 10 games on MJPinballs Smaug. It played fantastic.Gary from Abel is the best. If your buying a Hobbit, he' the guy to see! Melissa from Cointaker is always so pleasant and helpful. Thanks especially to everyone who went up to Dylan and complimented him on his Doctor Who. He was overwhelmed by how many of you reached out to him and that reminded me why I love this hobby.

    See you at Allentown.

    #332 8 years ago
    Quoted from amkoepfer:

Got atlantis home and she plays great! Thanks keith!

I'm happy it played great for you. I always worry about pins when they travel. I can't believe you got it out of your SUV .Did you have a 3 foot shoe horn at home!

    #333 8 years ago
    Quoted from Gnatty:

Congratulations! Skypilot, great meeting you and your son, that award right there was well deserved but even more so, that's a great memory the both of you will have for the rest of your lives! Frickin Awesome!

Totally enjoyed meeting you. LMAO with the photobombs. Just ordered my goggles for Allentown

BTW I will never be able tolook at the sparkles on the glass in the same way again.

    #337 8 years ago
    Quoted from dmbjunky:

I really thought about calling Skypilot just to tell him and his boy what a nice DW that was.

Thank you, Sorry we did not get a chance to meet.Hopefully see you next year.

    #379 8 years ago
    Quoted from Butterflygirl24:

we really don't want it to snow in July...so better stick with late March!)

That storm was the s#&t! coming home with the trailer was white knuckle.

    #404 8 years ago
    Quoted from Dayhuff:

So I'm curious, what did every one buy/trade to take home from the show?

Came home "cash light" but "pin heavy"2016_pictures_043_(resized).JPG2016_pictures_043_(resized).JPG
