Quoted from rollinover:What time do people start removing their games for the day? Surely they don't wait til midnight but what time do they start to pull them
I can only go on Saturdays, every year, and it is always the same experience. About the first two hours are good for choices to play and little or no waiting. From noon on it degrades quickly, games are sold and moved out as well as those that have other reasons to pack up early and start to fold up and move out. By around 3pm, I'm ready to head out as maybe half the games from the beginning of the day are gone and the remaining ones have lines 4-6 players deep, sometimes longer.
Quoted from mikepin:I am sorry about fathom the guys has been bugging for years.
Years? Why didn't you just contact him directly first?
Overall a good show. I know that in the hectic frenzy of moving games things get out of whack and things malfunction, but I ran into about 4 games with malfunctioning GI lighting. That shouldn't be happening, as well as those with pretty LED lamps but are in dire need of flipper rebuilds.
Quoted from grantopia:..... I also saw games getting abused all day...it gave me a perspective to see what people bringing the games have to deal with just to have them there for others to enjoy.
It's true that this happens, I don't argue that point at all. Many of these were games with big price tags for sale. Sorry, but if I am selling a game you can be damn sure that you can shake the shit out of it and pound the heck out of it and the GI isn't going to go out and the flippers are working good. Being able to see the ball is important, but the flippers are the interface of player to machine, and probably the single most important element to making the game enjoyable. Just thinking how someone who might have been a potential buyer may have walked away from these games without pulling out the wallet. smh
Everything else was great. I saw a lot of friendly, and even courteous players, sellers and staff. The mood was electric and a very good time. Thanks to all who make this show possible!
