    Quoted from SpaceTimeGuy:

Data East Star Wars was one of my favorites !! ... I really liked Munsters ... and very surprised > I really liked Swords of Fury, NBA Fastbreak, Barb Wire, and Gottlieb Big Hit (old EM) ... several games that "disappointed" me ... some just sucked and a couple REALLY needed shopped out so hard to tell if they sucked or just no fun because needed work ..... but it was AWESOME to play so many games and I appreciate everyone that brought one out .... I will try to bring something next year !!

    I totally agree
It’s not fair to judge a game due to its poor playing condition. Many games had extremely worn out used coils that the flippers couldn’t make it up ramps or to higher levels, virtually no lights on the playfield very hard to see and sky high pricing.

The creech was setup super tight and def one of the nicer ones on the floor. Loved twilight zone and shadow nice to see those in the free play area and thanks to all who brought games

    #302 4 years ago

    Just arrived back home .
Was there from 10 - 6:30 had a very nice time, there was a Great variety of machines. plenty of nice EM's lots of newer games . Plenty of arcade games too. Most were in good shape and played well..

We had a lots of fun..I think there were a lot of games there well over 100..you can't complain about that.

Thanks to All the people that brought their games to the show to share .

Will defiantly plan on attending next year...

    Great show.
    Thank you

I'm looking for early Bally solid state protect pins. If you have something send me a pm. I could pick up at the show or another agreed time.

    #306 4 years ago

The show was on the small side this year, but made up for it by having quite a few unusual machines to play. Here's a few more pics. Thanks to everyone who lugged a machine out and to the vendors that supported the show!

Crud. So the show ends at 6PM tomorrow?

    #310 4 years ago

Wow, some BIG open spaces in that show. I remember in 2016 it was crowded as heck with machines. Kind of scary to see......

    #311 4 years ago

More pics. Yes there are wide open spaces but there were good collections of games. I finally had a chance to talk to Mike Pacak, he was very gracious. One of my friends came in first in the 8:30 tourney by completely crushing CFTBL. The show was better than last year and I even picked up a Popeye!

Also there was a dude wearing chain mail.

Big Hit was $1050 or make offer. Cabinet and playfield are nice. Playfield touched up, I think, around home plate insert. Backglass pretty flaky.
Comes with a set of new drop targets (uninstalled) if I remember right. Would be a nice game with a better backglass.

    Quoted from Mitoska:

About 100 games now..I've seen maybe 10 leave today that were sold

100 pinball machines? Or does that include arcade machines too. Not seeing that many pinball machines this year

    Heading up that way now.

Are some of your parts non-rebuildable? Or you need a reference point as to what part goes where or something missing?

    #323 4 years ago

So who owns that barbwire? That game looked amazing. Do they own the sword of fury that was there too? Are they a pinsider? If so PM if you could, I have a few questions. Lol.

    #324 4 years ago

Not sure who owns the Barb Wire but I was impressed with that one too, it played great and also looked amazing. I own the Swords of Fury, and the funny thing that you mention both of those machines is that I noticed that was the only other machine there Friday that had the PinStadium lighting in it. I had just put those in my SoF the day before the show, and I'm loving them. I haven't really tweaked them too much yet but the way I had them set on SoF was a bluer tint that I thought made the blues almost glow. It looks pretty good with a redish tint too. Where it really shines is when you have the lights off though...

Overall a good show. I know that in the hectic frenzy of moving games things get out of whack and things malfunction, but I ran into about 4 games with malfunctioning GI lighting. That shouldn't be happening, as well as those with pretty LED lamps but are in dire need of flipper rebuilds.

I used to wonder why people would bring games in bad shape to shows but after this year I have a much better perspective on it. I spent a good part of the day Friday hanging with my buddy who brought two pins. After plugging one in that was working fine before he had DMD issues right out of the gate. We eventually figured out there were too many games plugged in and he had to move his game down the floor to get better voltage. Later on somehow a connector came loose on the sound board and the sound was out until we realized it and plugged it back in.

His other pin was playing great before the show and after setting it up. We went to dinner and came back and it was off. He found out it just stopped booting for some reason but didnt know why and spend the next hour or so fixing it on the floor.

I saw first hand alot of people also have games break while they were playing...a ball gets stuck under a plastic, a diverter broke off NBA fastbreak, and a host of other issues. People just walk away and dont even attempt to look for anyone, contact anyone, or turn a game off. I also saw games getting abused all day and people trying to free stuck balls by picking games up and dropping them.

It's no surprise that people dont want to bring games to fill out shows after seeing what happens to them and how little people seem to care about them when they aren't their own games.

I'm not directing this at you because I assume most pinsiders respect and appreciate the games, and there were just some games playing like trash, but after seeing what I saw this weekend it gave me a perspective to see what people bringing the games have to deal with just to have them there for others to enjoy.

Not to mentiOn there was a guy there that seemed completely out of his mind

He was violently shaking expensive games and shouting horrific profanity at the top of his lungs

I truly think he was mentally ill or off his meds

I enjoyed the fast break in the back fun to finally play that and was cool game but those doink sound effects lol

    Batman forever was cool too

It may have been small but the show had a great variety of titles many I have not seen before

    #333 4 years ago
    Quoted from grantopia:

..... I also saw games getting abused all day...it gave me a perspective to see what people bringing the games have to deal with just to have them there for others to enjoy.

It's true that this happens, I don't argue that point at all. Many of these were games with big price tags for sale. Sorry, but if I am selling a game you can be damn sure that you can shake the shit out of it and pound the heck out of it and the GI isn't going to go out and the flippers are working good. Being able to see the ball is important, but the flippers are the interface of player to machine, and probably the single most important element to making the game enjoyable. Just thinking how someone who might have been a potential buyer may have walked away from these games without pulling out the wallet. smh

Everything else was great. I saw a lot of friendly, and even courteous players, sellers and staff. The mood was electric and a very good time. Thanks to all who make this show possible!

$3600 for pinball Magic seems like a good price. $2650 for LW3 not so much... How much is the Lost in Space? You don't see that one too often.

LIS was up for sale for $4600.
