Prices have gotten competitive for EMs in my area about 5 years or so ago. Anything listed for less than $500 moves real quick. I still manage to pick one up here and there but it's certainly gotten harder.

I'm sure the pandemic is helping EM prices. I work for the l world's largest distributor of aftermarket accessories in the powersports industry. Parts for motorcycles/ATVs/snowmobiles etc. We have had our best year on record. Everyone is home focused on their hobbies.

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

A Duotron - one fo the worst gottlieb made - is worth the same as a jungle queen, one of the best.

    Duotron is worth $1799?

Good for you. The thing is I don't think most hobbyists view them as all the same. But we aren't buying at retail either. It's Joe homeowner who is looking for a game and doesn't know any different. Then they are all essentially the same.

I saw an EM Night Rider at the Flea Market last weekend. Priced at $1800. It was in ok shape but just sitting there set up on the grass in the sun. The context felt strange. Obviously overpriced but also sort of weirdly cool and fun to see when you don't expect it. People were hovering around it like crazy all day. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it sold and I have no idea if it was even working. If it went home with someone it was with some unsuspecting newbie but pinball is still cool.
