The patch files were provided in an Xdelta3 format. Using the original ROM and the patch file, use Xdelta (xdelta.org) to create the new ROM file.

Ok this is Rich. It must be true given all of the STELLAR quality products that PPS has licensed over the years 
I'd trust an improved rom made by some anonymous hacker in his basement over something PPS put their name on. Now Soren is amazing - and all of his rom updates have been great and he's super talented, so PPS got lucky to have him as an asset in this case. But typiycally PPS doesn't give a shit about quality or complaints. They just want their licensing fee and that's the end of it.
