If anyone is interested I have a nice 10 person poker table I can bring. I wont be staying at the same hotel but if someone wants to donate a room we can play some poker.
Quoted from trilogybeer:Hopefully someone brings a Baywatch and we can do a six player hour and a half long dollar game it again this year .
I haven't registered it yet, but I'm planning on bringing my Baywatch too. Hopefully two of that title is not too many.

I like this idea.
Quoted from tonymiddendorf:I like this idea.
Well, if we can round up 10 people and find a spot to play I will bring it. I got the chips too so a friendly $10 game could be in order. Anyone else in? Would Friday or Saturday night work best?
Quoted from trilogybeer:Hopefully someone brings a Baywatch and we can do a six player hour and a half long dollar game it again this year .
Yup, as Corey said, I'll be bringing it. It was part of the deal when I borrowed it from Dan. I wouldn't mind owning one of them eventually, it's pretty fun.

Damn, I'd be in it if weren't for the whole, "gotta run the show" thing that usually is going on. Maybe Gary and I can just disappear for a few hours, I know he'd be in too...
Quoted from floyd1977:I haven't registered it yet, but I'm planning on bringing my Baywatch too. Hopefully two of that title is not too many.
No way! Besides, if I know anything, the first Baywatch, since it is mine (although being brought by someone else who I loaned it too) will cease to function at about 10:05am on Saturday morning, since that always seems to happen with games I'm bringing.
On a different note, I'm not sure how many machines I'm bringing. Not counting machines I've loaned to others, I'll be bringing for the tournament area two machines plus Orbitor 1 and Mr. & Ms. Pac-Man. Anyone else have any suggestions? (Note: I may not take your suggestion into account if there is a reason that I can't... some of these need minor tweaks that I may or may not get to before the show...) Here's the list:
Vids:
Maximum Force
Carnevil
Galaxian
Pins:
WWFRR
SST
Popeye
SMBMW
4 Square
Motordome
Mystery Castle
Judge Dredd
NBA Fastbreak
WCS94
Whirlwind

I vote Friday as the after-party is Saturday ...
On the other hand. I have to help run the Clock Chaos tournament on Friday night ...
Probably best to just decide. Then, those that can make it can make it, and those that can't make it can just try to drop in for a more informal game.

Didn't we ban you from bringing games???
(I vote Popeye. Low chance of there being another one there, and I would like to play one again! Or how about VND???)
Quoted from floyd1977:I haven't registered it yet, but I'm planning on bringing my Baywatch too. Hopefully two of that title is not too many.
Link em up, 12 players, that'll take at least a day.

I would LOVE for you to bring the Mystery Castle back - assume it's the same one that was there last year.
Dan - do you ever get feedback on too many EM's or not enough? I was thinking of bringing one of my EMs - but not sure if you feel there are too many that show up anyway.
Quoted from dantebean:If anyone is interested I have a nice 10 person poker table I can bring. I wont be staying at the same hotel but if someone wants to donate a room we can play some poker.
Normally, I'd be "all-in" on this. But, unfortunately, there just isn't enough time in the weekend to break away...

I'm thinking not VND only because SST is much easier to grab and uses the same boards. Like, until I fix one of the boards and get the other one that it's missing, literally, the same boards.
Popeye's in the basement, but I am thinking about hauling it out. I don't hate it nearly as much as everyone thinks I should though.

I'd be in for this.

I missed this before... I NEVER feel like there are too many EMs, and a lot of people (especially those that aren't pinball collectors) are extremely appreciative of those in particular. Bring 'em on
Double post, but I wanted to make sure this one stood out...
If you have a great condition Pinbot or Whirlwind that you would be okay with using in the MGC tournament, please contact me. I believe we have a plan right now for the majority of the machines in the tournament, however we are in need of at least a double of one more machine, as we like to ensure that if there is a problem, we have backup ready to go.
We have access to at least one of each, but I'd really like to get at least two or preferably, three. If you have one that is in great playing shape, please contact me via PM and we can talk about using it. Thanks!
Quoted from trilogybeer:Hopefully someone brings a Baywatch and we can do a six player hour and a half long dollar game it again this year .
jesus. That would be intense.
Did you also play side games off of that while playing baywatch.
Think I have changed my mind from not, to for sale. If I have time to freshen them up a bit before the show they are going for sale. Time to pay off the house and looking at building a new one. Black 2006 honda st1300 with 19k coming up for sale too.
!!!!email JAZ at [email protected] to let him know your plans!!!!
They NEED to know what is coming!!!!
Below is just an unofficial list for fun and so we can avoid repeats if possible. Also a nice way to identify and say thanks to people when you see and play their sweet games! Thanks to everyone bring ing stuff to share! I am looking forward to some good times and great people!

Quoted from DanQverymuch:Dan wants to use my JP in the tournament, just so anyone looking forward to that one knows.
I could bring another game, too, but my trailer only holds two and I might be in a buying mood!
(Don't suggest selling one, haven't wrapped my head around that side of the hobby yet!)
Yea...my JP too. He has a thing for having multiples for the tourney. I only agreed to it as I was assured there would be another JP in the free play area as well. I generally want my games there for everyone to play, not just the tourney players, but since there will be one in the arcade also, I can live with it.

Please remove the JD, it has been sold.

TBD . Haven't made up my mind what the sales proceeds will be procuring, liking the ST Pro.
I don't get these unofficial/official threads. Guess the humor of that escapes me pretty much every time.
Quoted from chadderack:I don't get these unofficial/official threads. Guess the humor of that escapes me pretty much every time.
That is because it is not intended to be humorous. 'Official' because we do this on pinside for MGC the past 2 years. 'Unofficial' because it is not being done by the actual MGC guys.

The point being, the actual MGC guys make no guarantee the entire list will be at the show.
I recall hearing some guy melted down when some vid wasn't there "as advertised" one year...

And unfortunately that one guy is referenced more than the hundreds of completely satisfied customers in the history of the event. The only reference that comes even close is the one that Dan and crew say each time. "It wouldn't be the event it is without all those who bring games!" Kudos to those who have supported the event for so long and FUCK that ONE guy who was unhappy.

To be fair, we didn't have an official game list before that point because I do feel the same way about it. My JP has been rock solid for 6 years of ownership, it's had more than 3000 plays in that time. I decide it's going to be used in the tournament, and almost instantly the sound board is all screwed up. That's the life of someone bringing games, and I don't like to disappoint people... I'd rather they be surprised when they see 200+ different arcade machines there.
But, you'll be happy to know that this particular fellow who said that, after he whined to me about it (I finally found out someone not associated with the show told him about it), I suggested that he should never go again, and he'd be happier with whatever collection that he had at his own place.
If 200+ arcade games isn't good enough for you, I don't really care if you come to our show because what anyone could do to make you happy. There are so many people that put so much work into this thing, it's a slap in the face to say it's not good enough.
And that is true - Without everyone else, the show WAS absolutely over in 2005. We got talked back into it. Without everyone else, the show would be about 20 pins, half broken, and the retro games of the GOAT Store, and a couple other random things that Gary and I would drag along. We'd fill about 500 square feet, and everyone would think it's stupid. It's seriously the 400+ people who have been working at making it such a unique event since last March that make it worth doing So thanks everyone bringing a game for making me stay up past midnight for the sixth night in a row, it's worth it because of all of you!

Well said Ken.
Once again this year, Silverball Brewing will be serving MGC Ale at the after party (while it lasts). However, this years batch will be a Nut Brown ale.
4 weeks and counting!
I know there are some in this thread that have not yet sent me an email telling me what you're bringing. As you've probably heard by now, the arcade hall is moving to a different part of the hotel. As such, there is a ton of planning going on regarding how we lay that room out. It will help us greatly (and therefore help you greatly) to know what you are planning to bring. If you know the specific machines, great. If you just know you're bring x pins and y vids, that would be fine as well.
Please send an email to [email protected] and let me know.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing you guys in a month!
Jaz
