Hi guys,

I recently joined the club. I was lucky to find a HUO single owner Pro. Absolutely everything on it was stock. So the first order of business was to upgrade to all the LEDs. I picked up one of those complete sets from Comet annnnnnd wow. The before and after photos are pretty striking.

I have to say, I am in love with this machine.

I put some orange plasma pop bumpers in mine because I couldn't find any good covers for the stock ones and the LEDs were god awful. I would definitely be willing to buy a pair of your custom tops just to switch things up a little from time to time.

Quoted from athenspin:

The orange plasmas look great! Would you be willing to share where you got them?

Sure thing! They are from Lighted Pinball Mods. A little pricey but fairly easy to install and they look pretty cool. I initially got a mix of blue and orange but when I saw how much the orange popped on the mostly blue playfield I switched to all orange. Here is the link, I hope it helps.

Hey guys. I'm hoping someone can help me. I was having trouble where the machine would think I drained even though the ball was still in play. It still does that, but now it's not ending a game when the ball actually does drain. I thought for sure it was the trough switches but I've been running switch tests and it looks like the trough switches are firing. It also shows all the balls in the trough when I do the trough test. Any ideas?

Quoted from northvibe:

Check the optos at the up kick of the trough.

Yep. It was a loose wire running into the opto. All fixed now. Thanks for the help.

Quoted from Ashram56:

Good morning,
I have open sourced my Tron disc mod. Documentation is scarce, as honestly I'm abysmal at documentation, plus I lack time
Video of the mod:
Github of the mod: https://github.com/Ashram56/Tron-Pinball-Disc-Mod
Note the licence: this is GPL3, free to use and free for commercial usage, but you are required to give credit, and to release any change (both HW and SW) made to the design publicly, ideally as a commit or a fork of my github.
Questions, feel free to ask

This looks awesome. I will have to give this a go. I wonder if it can be set to only turn on when the rectifier goes down.

Quoted from Ashram56:

There are three operating states:
- Disc motor not running (so recognizer up usually), the yellow dual trail effect
- Disc motor running, clockwise : rotating light (blue or red, can't remember)
- Disc motor running, counter clockwise : rotating light (opposite of other)
So if you don't want any light show when recognizer bank is up, easiest is to modify color from orange to black (line 34 and 35 in my Arduino .ino file)

Hell yeah! Thank you. This is perfect.

Quoted from TimeBandit:

Hey Tron brothers and sisters. I am back and may do very, very small runs of Tron ramp kits. I can't do volume runs anymore because of the risk of failure on an entire batch like last time. That was a devastating cost that I can't afford again. (couldn't really afford it the first time, lol).
They will unfortunately be more expensive because of the small runs. They used to run at around USD300, but will now more likely be at the USD500 mark.
My website won't be back and I will be putting them exclusively through Pinside.
It's good to be back. I love pinball like nothing else, but it bitch-slapped me hard man.

So glad to have you back. Sign me up for the ramp kit. I need one desperately.

Quoted from northvibe:

How are people attaching the "lit" cycles to the plastic on top of the ramp? I have the lite cycles but don't want to install unless there is a good way to secure them to the ramp plastics.

I just used a very small screw and drilled through the already existing hole in the plastic and into the bottom of the wheel, so it's invisible. Just make sure to create a very tiny pilot hole in the wheel so that you don't crack the plastic when the screw goes in. Hope this helps.

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

hey guys I need help with my Tron cant figure this one out. I set the volume usually to around 21-22. No issues. Then randomly I come turn the machine on and the volume automatically jumps to 45 and scares the crap out of me. What could be causing these random volume increases?
Thanks

The only thing I can think of is maybe it is registering a volume up input from the coin door somehow? Someone smarter than me could tell you how to check/test that switch and connections. But I would start there if it was me.
