We're stalled waiting for parts on a game we're shopping out, and just got Titan silicone rings and a GI smoother for our Tron le, so we decided to do some quick work on it (and hopefully play it tonight. We love it enough to have one on location and one at home). We get the ramps and some plastics off, start changing out rings and light bulbs and get a very unpleasant surprise. P1010601.JPG A very corroded post. We start taking a close look at other posts of the same type and find seven of the eight posts of this type have some corrosion in the threads. P1010603.JPG I am wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this with Stern parts? We have several Stern games on location and this worries us.

I've always thought that the posts were stainless. It'd be nice to be able to blame the screws but the worst post (in the first picture) is under a plastic and didn't have a screw in it. We've got replacements posts on order, planning to replace all eight.

Very strange to see this on an LE that we bought NIB. Makes me wonder if Stern had bad batch of posts, ours is #313 if anyone with one close to ours could check on their posts it'd be nice to know what you find.
