I have his toppers on my Tron, Ironman and Xmen.
I have the same topper - it came with my Pro when I bought it. I wasn't sure what to think when I first saw it, since it's my first topper. But it's really grown on me, and I like the extra blue light from above. Really nice!
I'd actually love to track down an IM, but IMHO they're really overpriced. It would mean a lot more to me if there were actually movie voice callouts instead of the impersonator, but it's otherwise a nice, albeit simple machine. I do love fast, flow games like that.
I had a NIB LoTR, and I still regret selling it. My wife was even more unhappy that I did.

My TRON has a ColorDMD in it set to Orange. How strange is that? But I really like the look of it - wasn't happy with just Blue.
No, I think both the X-Pin (non-white) and Stern LED DMDs use colored LEDs - the same-colored gel just softens the harshness a little and makes it harder to see the slightly offset LED assemblies aligned in grids in the display.
I think the gel was an extra $15 for my Stern blue DMD (my pin didn't have anything in front since it had a plasma DMD)

Oh, crap! That looks amazing during the attract screen, when the LEDs are normally pulsing away in seizure mode...

Tron is a really great game for it since there is so much use of flashing inserts during gameplay, not just the attract mode (which looks great).
Yeah, sorry, meant LED OCD. I knew there was a different board for WPC vs. SAM/Whitestar.
During a game of TRON the inserts don't bother me so much, since it's such a fast game.
I will sometimes just watch the attract show and it's then that the strobing bothers the shit out of me. Especially in the mode where it's trying to pull off the slow pulses up the ladder; but LEDs just switch too damned fast, and I think I'm going to have a seizure.

I've had it in there for a bit now, and while it's crazy, it's not been destructive yet. The funniest thing it's done so far was one shot that went straight in, shot to the right, and stuck under the rubber in the disk area. I had to ask my wife with her tiny hands to reach in there and get it.
I've actually had more glass and plastic hits on my ST Pro, and that's WITH the slings turned down quite a bit.

It's very rare, but I have encountered oddball issues like that with my Pro - my LE never did this. It hasn't happened enough to track down, though. Maybe one game in thirty?

I haven't had any trouble with the rubber coming apart at all, but I have had problems with the 3M adhesive letting go over time. Mine is currently peeled about halfway off, waiting for me to remove/fix it.

Interesting - this kit looks *really* different from the one I installed some time ago... Do the fiber lines actually have connectors on them?

The manual in his picture says Eli's, which is the same as mine, but the kit itself looks significantly different. Was more than one type released?
