Ok, have to change out the superbands for titans anyway, don't suppose you know offhand where i can find the info on the rubber sizes?

I think it's 2 1/2" instead of 2 3/4", but not definitely sure, sorry. Could 2" instead of 2 1/2" also. Check your Superbands. I'm pretty sure, they fit some loose, causing this issue. Measure your up to be sure and order one size smaller. I would also recommend standard rubber for home use, but that's just my preference.
Thanks mate, i think i have a rubber chart printed off here somewhere. I love the titan rubbers. Just as grippy as rubber, but not so dirty.

I totally approve! Even the cats seem to want to get closer to it! Lol

Awesome! I had to look it up ($1200)

I guess when you own a $10k tron, it's like...What's an additional $1200? LOL!

I’d like to put an original full-size arcade Tron on top of my Tron pro. I’m going to win Topper of the Year.
"I’d like to put an original full-size arcade Tron on top of my Tron pro. I’m going to win Topper of the Year."
You're talking nonsense. If you said you'd put a DoT enviro on top of the Tron pin, then put a Tron upright on top of the DoT enviro, and *then* put a DoT Upright on top of the Tron upright, I might believe you.

Would love to find an original DoT environmental..!
Having said that, I've seen a few people make a topper out of an original Tron marquee, pretty cool!
Getting there, got on the board yesterday in a game against my mate where i scored 59m for HS#3. Chasing the 96m that was GC on the game when it got here.
My reactions are speeding up and i'm starting to learn a couple of the rules and where the shots are.
Might go back and watch the papa stream again soon, possibly absorb some more rules.
Is that the best stream for rules do you guy's think?

Yep. Bowen is the master.

I like the backbox effect, such a fun piece!

I’ve been one shot away too. So close.
Quoted from TheGunnett:Finished the topper to match the neon. A Hot Toys light cycle with el wires in the back and a programmable LED strip underneath.

Freaking awesome .
Looks absolutely ace!
My tech got my topper all soldered up and going yesterday. Definitely a poor sub for that.
Had a couple of guys here yesti for comp that have operated pinballs since the 80's. Neither of them have played Tron before, both left in love with the machine trying to figure out how to get one.

How much is that Hot Toys again, $700+? lol, with that LED neon LightCycle, it's becoming an expensive corner of the house
Looks awesome, good job!

No worries mate, looks great! Play this thing with dimmed ambient light, sound full on!

Yep that's what i have been doing. has interactive under cab lighting and upgraded sound, one of the op's suggested hooking up a woofer. I'm thinking about it, but tween the upgraded speaker package and the shaker, it's pretty immersive already.

I had added this next to it - cool effect when peeps wear anything white! lol

I just added a Polk PSW10 and a Pinnovators PinPac 3. At first I just used headphones and I was hearing sounds, effects, and callouts i hadn’t heard or at least clearly hear before. The bass response was super clear. Then I added the subwoofer using a 3.5mm to RCA cable off the PinPac adapter and wow. Just wow. The sound is amazing. Not just the sound, but the feeling and immersion into each plunge.

Ok, convinced me, i'll dig out the sub and some cabling during the wek.

You'll love the start of LC MB
Any suggestions on the best way to hook this up?
I do have a couple of tangles sub boards and leads here, but it looks like there is already a sub driver board there and maybe it has somewhere to take the signal from other than the speaker leads?

I have a Polk sub under my Tron too. It’s a game changer.

I would love a Tron arcade machine. Since I was a kid in 82 I wanted one.

Here is my topper…I’m a big fan of the arcade game.
D8BC1900-BDD9-4692-80A3-6D6F245BEDC4 (resized).jpegQuoted from punkin:What are you suppossed to shoot in that anyway? Ramps and orbits?
It’s a series of ramp and orbit shots. Shoot the left or right outer ramp (the middle ramp of the three on each side with the light cycles on top) then shoot the inner ramp and the orbit on each side. This can be done in any order as long as you shoot the outer ramps first. The inserts are flashing showing you which ones need to be shot. Fair warning, it’s difficult and I’ve completed it maybe 3 times in the 5 months I’ve had TRON. The right orbit through the pop bumpers I find is the hardest, followed by the Gem inner ramp because the recognized is up. I usually have to bank off the TRON targets to hit the Gem ramp in that case.
As for your sub hookup, if your sub has speaker level inputs, just attach some wires to the cabinet speaker. If you only have line level inputs, you’ll need some adapter to connect to the main board pin out in the head.
Thanks, i have no chance of looking up to see what's lit. My focus is on the flippers. I can usually get one or two up the left ramp easy enough from muscle memeory and will see them coming back to the flipper, but have no idea where the rest of the balls are going.

Now that is freakin cool!
Quoted from punkin:What are the best colours for powder coating this machine? It's staying forever. I have a pro btw.
Chrome looks amazing on Tron. I have the blue/orange split powder coat.
8500F2AB-5D9D-4C1F-A203-A32794DF0219 (resized).jpegTrawled through the images of the whole thread and saw that.
Also saw a dep blue metallic one that looked good. But haven't seen any other colours. I'd do a great black before i did chrome, are the lit rails still available? Saw one with custom airbrushing that looked good, come to think of it, air brushing might be the go?
There's a local artist to me that i've been meaning to stop in and talk pinball to.

When you say programmable LED strip, how does that respond/look/change?
The lights are called “Twinkly” and allow you to select the colors and patterns that they move.
I’ll try to attach a video.

Just palyed something called sea of simulation. Can't see an insert for it, is it a mini wizard for playing all the multi's or somesuch? Slowly chipping away at the 96m GC score, up to 82m now.

Sea of Sim is mini wiz for lighting all the modes. If you finish all the modes, you reach Portal, or so I understand.
Just in there again, does it always start with that Gem shot? Had two really good swings at it after hitting the Quora spinner, it's a hard shot of that top flipper.

Sea of simulation will start with the first mode that has been started (center insert flashing) but not completed (center insert solid) going from bottom to the top starting with Flynn. Any completed modes are skipped and you are awarded points for having it completed.

Thank you that makes sense. The last time i got it there were a stack of initial huge jackpots before it started, this time less, a lot less. I understand now that they must have been completed modes, but i didn't look as to what was lit to shoot as i didn't know what was happening.
That's a cool way to code it.
