What are you looking to replace? The inserts on Tron LE are hardwired to those custom LED boards - you can't change them. GI is possible though.

Could someone provide me with a link in Europe for the plastic spinning disc (sold by Pinball Life) ?
Alternatively, as I have access to a CO2 laser cutter, what material is used and what thickness is this part ? Anyone could produce a scan at scale of this part ?

I would also be interested into the glowing plunger mod, is this something that is readily available somewhere ? Any pointer ?

A HELLO from the (lockdown) grid!

After an attempt without success months ago my friend and I didn‘t move on with this project.

Sadly we have our second covid19 lockdown now in Austria & so we started (in safe distance from each other) one more time.

This is our first prototype which I’m going to try on my LE next Tuesday.

I hope it fits & looks as good as the original one on both ramps.

I loved this mod so much back in the days.

Would anyone have full screen pre-recorded video of Tron Arcade games ? I'm trying to rebuild the Arcade mod (so far so good, I figured out most of it), but need the video content.

I could use MAME to record it though, but in case somebody has it lying around

What are you talking about? The little arcade game with real video to replace the static one? If so, I’ve found nice quality attract mode videos on YouTube. Just search “Tron attract mode.” *shrug*

That stainless steel speakers's panel from kapsreiter is great looking, no doubt about it. But what else is out there for Tron?

There are different decals available.

The stainless looks great, but you'll need to figure out the back lighting (el lighting)

With that apron you should definitely look into the stainless panel, your machine would be an eye candy light show.

I’ve been wanting a set of these for the last year too, we may need to get a big shipment over to the states then ship out individually from here!

our prototypes are installed. two minor changes on the edges of the yellow plastic and the set will fit perfectly.

next thing to do is to get the correct color.
our yellow is different than the pinbits version (which looks best on the game).

Hasi would you be able to cut more of the plastics that the lightcycles are mounted to? I have the cycles, but need to add them to my machine. I like the translucent look compared to the original pieces.

also, I've noticed my disc is really loud and kind of makes a grinding sound, just like ppl have been saying about tmnt, is there some kind of regular maintenance I need to do to it? maybe some kind of lubricant?

Would anyone know what material is the rubber disc made of, more specifically the transluscent white rubber disc sold by PinballCenter in Germany. I have mounted one, but I ruined the original double side tape (don't ask...). I replaced it with another double side tape (3M 300LSE based), but the disc simply does not stick (well it does, but it does not stay put for very long...). So I'd like to use some kind of super glue, but the first one I used did not glue ANYTHING (I could have applied water for that matter.

For that matter, if I want to restart from scratch, what solvent would you recommend to clean up the plastic disc and remove all glue residue ?

Had a similar issue, the clear version adhesive is not that strong. GOOP clear adhesive spread out thin and even on the disc with a throwaway paintbrush, and then apply the clear discs to it. Let it dry overnight and it's been good since.

6 years & 3 months after moving in to The Grid, I made it to Portal! (on ball 2!)

But I ended up with only my 3rd best score!

Today, I'm thankful for Portal.

This has been a discussion here for years, you can find posts dating back to 2016 on how this should be done, even by Centerflank himself at that time. I understand that if you want to do it correctly, get the complete motor out, remove old disc, clean thouroughly, spray with 3M adhesive spray, stick and keep under tension for 24h.
