I'll confirm this. LE only and you have to shoot the scoop to consummate it as well, like the extra ball. It's got a pretty cool sound track to it and as far as I can tell is another switch based mode of which I haven't found a super jackpot feature yet (anybody know if there is one?). It also has the ability to add balls.

Man, just missed getting to "Portal" because I didn't light "TRON"...don't think that's ever happened to me...usually lights without focusing on it.

I'm not even sure I know how to light TRON--it just happens.

Zen normally starts a Tron mode with one hit, but if you don't shoot the T-R-O-N targets but instead send the ball over the Zen rollover again to collect more Zen awards, you can bank three of them and, with just one shot to the T-R-O-N targets, start all three Tron modes one after the other."

Was going through my basement and found a bunch of mods I never installed that came with my game (seller was nice to include them ) including lcd arcade cab and recognizer , plastics etc . Does anyone know how to install kimball recognizer? Mine looks like a short wire so I’m assuming connects to the motor power ?

Added Hellmark Light Cycles (found both on ebay for 60€). Just connected them to 5v source under playfiled. (Dont' understand why someone sell them at 300$).

To really step it up I'd can that plastic apron and install a metal one with windows and flashers under the windows (like on the LE). Easy mod to do, lighting code is already there.

You are missing some of the internal electronics that get added, but still not $300 worth.

You can add under hanging switches to the bikes so they turn on when a ball passes but you'd need a timing circuit otherwise it would only be for an instant.

Where are the points in this game?

I know you can get 50 million for going straight to portal and double with double scoring.

I just had a game with two super jackpots on disc, got to SOS half way up the ladder and had a longish game.

40 million!

GC is 75 million so I must be missing something obvious.

100mill is a really good score on Tron I'd say. My best is 340mill. Double scoring helps alot, Gem multipliers can help give huge EOB bonuses too.

yep, my bests are ~100 mill. keep your quora multiball going. it's a bit of a marathon for sure.

Also don't forget about EOL's. Those start out just shy of 1 million points but in a good ball you can easily get them to 2-3 million plus a shot.

Biggest points are SOS. A good Quora or disc can net you 10-15 million in points though. Really good games for me are that 100 million range. I have 2 high scores over 200 but that was due to double scoring with the 50 million full SOS bonus. That was 100 million right there and both of those games I made it to SOS twice.

I could be way off but $200+/- a little. They were about $130 new if memory is correct but I don't think they are in stock anywhere. Not exactly rare though as I know several with spare ramps for this game.

I have it on my machine, but I bought it that way. I think it was a limited release from somebody (Tilttopper, maybe?) and is unobtainium now. You'll have to buy it secondhand from someone. (Somebody had one for sale last year because they didn't want it on their machine, I think, but it went pretty fast.)

Ya I pick up that topper last year. Got lucky as a bunch of people wanted it and I was the first to respond.

how does that mount to the wood?

have a question about the post that stops the plunge at the top right of the playfield in the main orbit. can that be unassembled to replace the rubber?

There is no rubber. It's a nylon post on a coil, are you sure you're talking about the pop up post or something else?

mine has a black rubber on it. this is the pop up post at the top right that comes up to stop your initial plunge, unless you hold the left flipper in. it also pops up on right orbit shots when bumpers is lit.

maybe there were different parts used on different build runs. i have the 3d translite, so that's an early one, right?

I'll double check mine, I have a 3d translite early run as well. I don't remember there being a rubber on it.
