Wondering if any of you employ a strategy I call "Tagging Gem from behind."
That being...during Quorra multiball, beating the auto launch of added balls and trying to plunge them with just enough velocity that they exit the shooter lane and drop onto the Gem switch.

Cool. I assume that you will tie this into the game somehow so it turns on when the pin is on (no batteries)?

Yeah, I'll probably tie the light cycle into the GI and the base into the flashers.
Edit: I assembled this tonight, it's pretty amazing how detailed it is, it even has a spinning motor. I would definitely recommend it as a topper, or just as a collector's item.

Where'd you buy these?
My NIB Tron 4th run arrived yesterday and we got it setup and moved into the game room. It's a gorgeous game and my buddy and I played a dozen games or so on it. First impressions are that it is a kick-ass player's game with great flow and some very difficult shots that gets the blood pumping and keeps players coming back for more. This is my kind of pin and Tron is definitely a keeper. I have it setup right next to Shadow and BSD, my other two punisher titles
I installed mirror balls and set the pitch to 6.5 and holy @$#%&! this game plays fast! The ball actually smacked the glass hard in one game which was a bit scary. Best score was 91M and I reached Sea of Simulation in that game. Very cool mode. This game will be modded out in the coming months, so it will only get better. The factory speakers sound like crap so a FF system will be one of the first mods. The lighting is also weak, so an LED kit is also at the top of the list. I disabled that right-upper loop post that kills the flow in the game. Plays much better now.
Does anyone know if there will be any further software updates for Tron? Mine is at v1.74 with system 1.63. It sure would be nice to add/unlock Daft Punk mode on the Pro at some point. One can hope...

the left and right plastic pieces are different colors. don't know if there's a different type of material though, other than their color?
I meant different from the material he was using originally, yours looked like it was the same color as the custom one I had him make for me. He has recently started offering them in this new material, so it's quite possible you got one of those. If you look at the following picture you'll see the difference, the original one is on the right.

I got mine for $360 shipped on ebay. You can probably do better than that if you're patient. I got tired of waiting. This thing is huge btw, it's 16" long.
I picked up a bike missing the guy for like $200ish off ebay... also planning on using it as a topper and wiring it into the GI's or flashers or something, not sure yet

Nice looking Tron! The arcade mod is a must, the original looks like it got run over by a truck before it was assembled. Tinting the face shield might be pretty sweet, but I wouldn't know where to start with that.

Just a thought, but I agree...I have suggestions but no solution, sorry. His Tron is nice ,last run, he just got a handful of months ago. Still has a long way to go....but she is a beauty even without all the mods, but it will get there one of these days.

Tron is back in business finally, that was a long 3 weeks! I'm really liking the Encom decals on the legs, thanks for the idea centerflank

Thanks! I tried the blue reject buttons but they were too dark, you couldn't see my Flynn's inserts

Looks amazing and the powder coat colour is awesome, I think matching powder coated trim around the front rim of the back box would enhance the look even further....as your on a roll

Thanks, I appreciate that That was my intention at first, but the powder coat is a metallic blue and really hard to match. So I just went with a textured black t-molding. It actually looks really good in person because I also used black hardware everywhere I could (bolts, locks, leg levelers etc.), but I will be checking out some hobby shops to see if I can find a closely matching paint.
