Quoted from MarAlb:Nice game! 003 is the modelnumber. It is likely you have game #122, assuming they started numbering at 11000.
ahhh my bad .....Ok I see Thanks
Really digging this game now!! , bought it thinking I would play it awhile & then move it on but now thinking its a keeper at least for a good lil while .......& I have been working on it , pimping it out .... managed to modify & fit some mirror blades in it , Leds .... I will get some pics. up once I finish with one more thing I want to try
Quoted from JodyG:The blue targets seemed to send the ball flying
Yes Flying! ....... right over the left sling shot assy. l have noticed this as well & thought about if it could be corrected ...... a lift of height in the sling shot plastic ? or a guard of sorts like G.B ?
Aaahhhh!! Ok I see your guard piece over the blue stand ups in that pic. NOW lol ... I may try & make a similar one myself over the weekend good idea !!
Quoted from lordloss:I joined the Torpedo Alley club on this week, $800 for a machine out of an older lady's basement. She wanted it gone along with a pac man and a gamatron, so she paid a garbage hauler to get rid of these titles. I made the guy an offer and he accepted.
Nice score! on a great game , I extend my envious congratulations to you
Quoted from lordloss:Total spent to buy and repair was $835
Hard to find deals as sweet as that .... right on ,& more power to ya!
Quoted from lordloss:Looks like data east forgot a trace. Anyone else have this same factory mod?
Quoted from Chuckwebster:the one i'm working on has that too- i assumed it was done by a previous owner but maybe it was from the factory.
Just checked mine & it also has this but on mine its a little different , only one short jumper on mine & its yellow wire instead of blue
Quoted from JodyG:For those of you with cracked mountains, what would you pay for a reproduction set?
whatever it takes... within reason $ .... 2 of them are attached onto the playfield plastics you plan on doing those too?
Quoted from JodyG:The wheels are turning, and I plan to have a solution this winter.
I for one am certainly interested & would expect interest from others as most Torpedo alley's need them
Quoted from snyper2099:I truly believe it is the first great game made by Data East Pinball.
Yep... Laser War is no slouch though
OMG that looks Super Nice , question are the legs smooth from top to bottom ?
& yeah really nice.... mountains look in excellent shape compared to most
Quoted from Ronnie1114:Thanks man! I'm not sure I know what you mean with the legs? Sorry
On mine the legs have no ridges/ webbing or raised lines they are totally smooth , its the only pin I have with legs like that & have always wondered if original ?
if reproduced I'm down for a set .... I know its a relatively low production game but practically all that are still out there could use them & it seems the game is starting to gain a mild bit of recognition
Quoted from Colsond3:Ironically, I just registered my serial. But apparently Iso Frost has a board out of my game, or owned and registered this one before.
Ha Ha similar thing happened to me with this same title. I logged into IPSNDB to register mine & someone from on here had already registered it using a picture I had posted of my board set in a help wanted thread
Quoted from Whitewater:Mirror blades
hi guys I’m thinking of installing mirror blades, will standard Data East ones fit ?
I would appreciate any input or suggestions
I put some in mine but I had to modify the back corners by cutting a small piece out on each side to accommodate the playfield hinge setup.
According to this link the PAPA copy of Torpedo Alley is still available for purchase if anyone is interested.
