As far as I know, all the DE games from that era had non-ribbed legs (like Gottlieb). I’ve had a couple HUO DE games from the 80s and early 90’s, and they always had non-ribbed legs.

Both TA’s I’ve owned before had chrome non-ribbed 28.5” legs.

Although I did have an HUO DE Batman before that had black full-ribbed legs out of the factory. Like WPC legs.

I do not come to thank because people did not want to help me in the club, very disappointed of the mutual aid on torpedo. I finally found a person who allowed me to remake my backglass which was in a very bad condition. Not being resentful I put the files to you if it helps a little.

Got mine about a month ago. Late in the run, Germany import.

Did a flipper rebuild, used the Data East red links. Repaired the power supply and changed the 5v caps on the sound board. Just need to replace one of the Alpha Numeric displays.

Leds in all the inserts, haven’t done the GI yet.

The lamp board in question had been rectified by then, no factory hack.

I made some rule cards I wanted to share. The file is full size and 300 dpi so everyone can print them if wanted.

Anyone know where I can buy a replacement data cable for the alphanumeric?

Ahoy Mates! I just joined the club a couple of days ago. I picked one up from an operator friend who had it buried in storage. He didn't have the time or desire to deal with it, so I got it for a great price. It needs to be cleaned badly and the rubbers are rotted out, but she fires right up. Lights work, sounds work and you can play a game...as much as you can without any rubbers on it.

Issues I noticed so far are the slings and the bottom two displays don't seem to be working right now which I will have to check into. I have the original manual too, but I am sure I will need some help along the way so any tips you have to offer are much appreciated.

It also came with an extra NOS plastic set that was buried in the back of the game which was a pleasant surprise. At first glance my plastics look good, so I might be able to sell some of these if people are in need. I'll try to remember to update the group with progress as I get into the game.

Congrats!!!! Not a bad game to pick up, incredible an operator still had one! The mountains look fantastic too!
Those plastics are practically gold. Mine are just thrashed. Still fixing switches issues in my beater.
Enjoy the game, and bump for anyone who knows where to buy the data ribbon cable for the displays.

Even if you have no plans for repro, I would seriously consider having someone scan those plastics and save the files somewhere. There cannot be many sets of NOS plastics left out there for a machine that only had 1002 made. Congrats on the great find!

#122 24 days ago

Congrats on the pickup! I love my TA... it's just pure honest goofy fun. And yours is in amazing shape! I'm starting to think mine must be one of the more beat-up ones that survived.

Please do consider having those plastics scanned... there aren't many out there and a good NOS baseline is priceless.

The DE manual is pretty decent. If you're familiar with System11, a lot of the same concepts apply, but DE's PPB board is an interesting middleman (WMS adapated similar to Sys11 games) so don't overlook it.
