The beginning of this clip would be one of the best multiball intros ever... Let's show this prehistoric.....

Come on Stern.... Don't f*ck this one up!!

The pro cabinet art is SO much better (so far), but I'm an LE kinda guy. Damn first world problems....

If it was planned, or if it wasn't... I think now's the time to announce while there is a ton of momentum - good or bad. Don't let another company steal your thunder. There's a lot of buzz right now (today), Stern should capture those orders and dollars. What's done is done and if the leak hurt GoT and Spidey sales, there is no coming back now.

And please, dear God, let there be another LE option!! Booger Slimer Green trim just won't fit the interior design of my delapitated game room.

For that ramp that goes under the playfield, it would be cool if there was a magnet or diverter under there that could actually stop the ball and deliver it to the scoop. Like for a multiball intro or more start. Otherwise, it passes through to the right flipper.

Yup. Just watched a good part of the video from yesterday. Very nicely done.

Love the game. Still very excited. Hoping for the mystery award intro to be shorter or able to be skipped. Also, really hoping the scenes can be random. I'm not a very good player and will only see the first ones!! =)

Looks awesome Stern crew.

GB makes Ben Heck smile:

Seeing the game from that angle, I really like the dark cabinet colors. Looks sharp. Or, maybe it's just Ben that makes the picture POP.

I'm not good at the cabinet moding. But, in my cartoon bubble, I was thinking chrome rails and legs. But, I'm sure Stern will sell some great custom ones too...

I got to play a GBpro today. And I can't wait to play it again. What a blast. It's light hearted and such a unique layout. Really a breath of fresh air with all of the serious games lately.

I can't wait for some more call outs from the movies to be added.

Quoted from erak:

So I played ghostbusters at my distributors showroom today. My initial impressions are...
Pros...
The game looks beautiful.
The left ramp is easy to hit consecutively.
What to shoot next is intuitive.
The lighting is great
The modes (i could get going or finish)seem cool.
Color changing Inserts are great.
The right ramp going up and coming back with a diverter is a cool feature.
Slimer toy is great.
Plays fast.
Great sound, music, callouts.
Cons...
A direct hard hit to either scolari target seems to send the ball flying over the flippers and drain. 1/2 the time.
A ball coming slow out of the center shot by the pops seem to go straight down towards the middle 75% of the time and with the flipper gap you really need to nudge hard. (Tilt)
Sometimes a hard spinner shot will stop dead on the spinner. (Maybe just not set up right)
A bunch of missed shots or bounces seem to land on top of the plastics covering the captive balls on the left and roll to a drain.
It feels awkward when the ball rolls on top.
Overall many shots fly and bounce around.
Landing on or hitting the plastics in the machine.
It does not seem to have a smooth flow at all.
Not very many shots return the ball to the flippers. You have to constantly fight for control.
But it could just be that it needs some tweaking and dialing in.
Overall it's good, but seems to play kind of clunky.
But as I said, maybe the machine I played just needs a better set up.
I never got that just "one more game feeling"
Or "that shot felt good"

Really well done review. And I agree on most points. But, as far a flow goes.... Man, we played two different t games....

Quoted from kpg:

Finally had a chance to go through some more of the code in Pinball Browser, and theres a lot more music then we have seen in any gameplay videos... I am surprised how well done it is to be honest. Very high quality, well produced, and very 80's feeling. Lots of bass, an external sub is going to do wonders with it.

Are there a lot more call outs from the movies that are unused?

Thanks.

Quoted from Rarehero:

In situations like that, I'd rather them just play the movie clip "Dogs and cats living together...Mass Hysteria!" and start the MB.

I agree. But, they do sound better in person than on the videos for some reason. I got pretty used to them last Saturday. But, that could have been too many craft beers too.....

Reading this thread, you would think we are in the worst hobby ever. Who cares what someone buys or what they can afford? It's nobody business but their own. And just because you get a premium or LE, that automatically makes you and your game better? Very sad.

I had an LE on order. Didn't like the cabinet as much, so went to a premium. I've played the hell out of a friend's pro and absolutely love it. I think the right ramp is fun. And I have considered just going with the Pro. This is coming from someone who could have afforded to buy multiple LE's.

Its pinball folks. It's a hobby. You should enjoy it. Have some fun.

The "real" high end collectors... The ones that have collections that make a line up of Stern LE's look like Zizzle machines...Don't come on here to brag or belittle other collectors. And if you met them at a show, you wouldn't know they had a nickel to their name, or that they have a collection that is any better than a single game you have. They wouldn't care if you have a Big Bang Bar, an old solid state, or no pinball at all. They are just excited to meet a fellow enthusiast.

Brian

Edit:. Sorry to take this off topic. I hate when that happens and now I'm apart of it. I'm done.

I love the direction the topper is going, but it just seems a bit bare bones (especially without seeing it in action on the game).

I'm thinking this is the pro edition of the topper and Stern will start selling "topper mods". Who knows? Maybe a decal set? An antenna to replicate the real light bar? A siren? Topper shaker?? The possibilities are endless!!

Show me the money!!!

The movie quotes are so awesome in attract mode when the flipper buttons are hit. I am really hoping to hear more of them in game play.

#16802 7 years ago

Completing the hotel scene, and Aykroyd saying, "that wasnt such a chore, now was it" would be fantastic. So much material in these films for quotes. Look at the Family Guy pin, I swear I hear a new quote everytime I play it. And I've owned it forever....
