I get a huge amount of plays on my ToM.
I have played GB with and without the center post.
I will never give a GB without the center post any more of my coin.

The Trudeau gap on this game is suppose to be even larger then his others

Next Trudeau game.....Flipperless...!

Quoted from VolunteerPin:

I'm also in for Blitz. Bought one tub of it when I started this hobby and still have many, many years left of pinball waxing left in that tub for sure.

I have stopped using Blitz, got tired of vacuuming off the white dust.
I now use P21S.
I have both the blue (beeswax formula) and the silver (100% carnauba)
I use the blue a lot as it goes on easy and wipes off with no dust if put on in thin coats.
I use the silver when doing a thorough cleaning that stripped off the wax.
I goes on pretty good, you have to rub the applicator a little in the jar a little more to liquefy it.
Again thin coats are important for good wax adhesion.
I havent had the silver make more dust than the blue. I does however deliver a better more longer lasting protection.
I guess if you put the wax on thickly you will get more dust, but thats not how its done at all.
I would say its on par or better than the Blitz wax, but with no white dust build up.

So is this the modern version of a gobble hole?

Put in probably thirty games on the new GB Pro at the Seattle Pinball Museum. It was fun not having to worry about losing quarters constantly but the game still feels kinda...idk, blah? The "scenes" are so joyless and it still feels like nothing's really happening. The quotes from the movie are still super out of place, too - it's remembered as a wacky comedy sci-fi movie, but it's also a very low-key one, so all the quotes are dry and mumbled. It's like making an Annie Hall pin. Great flow, though. The scoop goof-up very gradually fixed itself, and later I saw the playfield up and being worked on so hopefully that won't be an issue in the future, but oy, what an issue!

Center post is more or less mandatory on this game if you want repeat business over the long haul.

Quoted from sparechange1974:

Center post kit-
Thought I had to have this originally. I don't feel this kit is necessary given longer flippers and other adjustments I've made. This from an average player.

I think its a toss-up of using longer flippers or a center post on GB.
Personally I like the ball action of the center post, Its fun when a dead on center drain bounces 6" up and back into play, it also gives you a little bit more time in multiballs.
Or you wait for the center bounce only to find that its off by a tiny amount and deflects down the drain anyway.

Quoted from fxdwg:

please don't hate on me as I type this... I picked up my GB premium last Wednesday, and have almost 100 plays on it. As much as I love the magna slings, the subway shot, and the artwork, so far, I just don't LOVE this machine. I don't want to give up on it yet, I mean its brutal, and I am ok with brutal, but having to start progress over every time I get new ball is getting old very quickly. I am trying to hold out for a few code updates (thinking TWD here, that game was kind of yuk and lackluster until the code was improved.) not sure what exactly the issue is, I do consider myself a better than just ok pinball player, but this machine just isn't doing it for me.
am I crazy?
I think at one point, I was able to play 6 games in less than 5 minutes, to me, that simply is NOT fun... the only good thing about it, is I am not having to feed quarters each time I want to play again!!
thoughts? opinions?

Get all the fixes and put in a center post. Its like night and day.

Quoted from mcfly:

I am getting real sick of getting to Mass Hysteria multi ball only to lose all the balls because of the stupid reverse flippers. I will never get used to it and really wish they would give us an option to turn it off.

initially just always use both buttons at the same time. Its silly and makes you look like a novice but it works well.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

the Center Post out only bothers my family that plays a lot less

My wife refuses to play GB on location without a center post. She says the game is stupid without it.

Quoted from scarybeard:

heres the pics of the white rubber

Looks so much better, I wonder if you can just order the game with white rubber direct from the factory.

Quoted from Wakky:

But ive only played less than 100 games on it ....
It shouldn't be doing this

I ain't afraid o' no (mylar) ghost.....

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

well, if you would have never showed her that a center post was an option, then it probably would never have been an issue. My alien poker has the same flipper gap as my GB, and i've never had anyone complain about the gap being to big on there either.

She played 2 balls on a premium without a center post and walked away mid game, as both balls immediately drained, she thought it was broken.
When at the NYNY arcade she put $20 in the game there, as it had a center post.
She said the one she played before was missing the center post part and might have been defective.

I dont promt her or explain things like try to be a better player to her. I allow her to experiment and find games that match her ability as well as games that entice her.

My opinion is that pinball is a visceral thing, you either like the game or dont.
If you dont like it, dont put your money in it.

After the NYNY experience she is thinking we should get a GB as long as it has the center post, she liked it a lot.
