Quoted from markmon:Old movies sort of suck and look majorly dated.
Some old movies are holding up a lot better than some of the old fart rock bands out there.

Quoted from RobT:I will keep reposting about the fact that I don't like the movie(s)...and that the theme song sucks ass!
I'm with Rob on this one. But given the choice of having to watch Ghostbusters or any of the last four seasons of Family Guy, I'd take Ghostbusters.
Quoted from coasterguy:I would guess that they are working on the start of future pins earlier than most of us know?
If I told you the answer to that, then I'd probably have to.....
Quoted from Chrizg:People will complain about everything.
They will also buy anything.
Quoted from MapleSyrup:Reboots happen all the time.
This pinball machine is a 30 year old re-boot. No matter how you look at it.
Quoted from vid1900:Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a 40 years old reboot - excellent.
I think a pinball machine themed after the original Apes movies would be cool, but then all these people stuck in the 80s would be whining about it because it's not nostalgia for them. Therefore it never happened. Or will happen.
Quoted from herbertbsharp:Nostalgic people are averse to reboots in most instances.
Nostalgic people are re-boots.
Quoted from PinJump:Would rather they not reboot it at all.
Pinball needs to quit re-booting all this shit and move back into the 21st century IMO.
Quoted from Captain_Kirk:I'll say what I want when I want.
That sound's familiar.
I thought the re-boot of The Mechanic was pretty good, even though the original was hard to beat. I think the key is to let enough time go by before you start re-beating a dead horse.
Quoted from dmbjunky:I've never seen the old Casino Royale so I can't say if it's better but best bond film?
It may have been the first one I ever saw. Can't compare it to the re-boot though because I haven't seen it.
Quoted from benheck:In 20 years we'll be nostalgic for nostalgia = cultural bankruptcy.
Isn't this hobby already there? Now how bout that African Queen....
When you've got no interest in this as a new pinball theme, reboot or otherwise, it's easy to poke fun at.
Especially something this old.
