I heard Stern had to switch to carbon fiber legs on the Premiums and LE.
The magnetic slings were causing the steel legs to hit an external periodic frequency whereby positive feedback between the cabinet's deflection and the force exerted by the powerful slings resulted in a self-oscillation and eventual failure (pinball fall down... go boom).
