Quoted from Mudflaps:

In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max’s toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog…When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I went nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out…But the worst thing I ever done — I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa — and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

Quoted from T-800:

Magnetic slings are the only logical explanation for the whitewood geometry that's posted in this thread. Traditional slings have 3 slots between the two posts - two for the switches to trigger the armature and the third elongated slot for the arm to move. The whitewood shows only a single rectangular slot, sized to match a standard leaf switch. Unless there's no outside force and it's just the ball bouncing into plain old rubber (which would be lame) it seems like the only logical explanation is magnets. So yeah, how are those going to affect game play in multiball? As for push/pull, I was pretty sure that magnets can only pull.... Unless a magnet is coming into contact with another magnet - -

Maybe those triangles are directional magnets that pull the ball into the rubber when triggered by an eddy switch...or lasers.

Yeah, I can't wait for the Sex In The City reboot with an all male cast.

My understanding is that GB is just a re-theme of TWD, you know like FG and SHREK:

Quoted from Sparky:

No controversy, and I know exactly who it is and what scene it's from, and I'm aware it's paired with the Gatekeeper image of S. Weaver on the other side, but I just thought it was an odd image to put there. I was simply wondering if everyone else was ok with it since it only got mentioned (as far as I can see) in one other post.

Like I said in a follow up post, I would have liked to have seen the terror dogs on each side of the apron, and then Gozer in the center would have tied all three images together.
ZY's version of the image below split among the three spots on the apron would have been cool (but what he did is still cool). I hope this doesn't sound like I'm complaining because I'm not. I love the total package, and this apron art is not a big deal. I just thought I'd bring it up.

I was thinking the controversy was it kind of looks like he is still packing wood. You know, total package.

Quoted from cooked71:

I think the bubble is centred at 6.5 degrees which is the official "recommended" setting that almost no one follows. Mine is way off centre as well and my game is at 6.8.

Really? So the designers are using a random pitch when they are working with the white woods?

#16792 7 years ago
Quoted from cooked71:

Most likely they are working at 6.5 and calibrate the bubble to be centered at that angle. From memory, 6.5 is actually stated in the Stern manual, so it makes sense they would have the bubble set to 6.5 also.

I have a bunch of early SS pins and usually crank it up in the back. When I did this with Tron the gameplay was awful. When I centered the bubble it was a different game. I think there are a number of modern games where the incline is really important. I'm wondering if GB suffers if the pitch isn't set right.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

One is Beeswax and Carnuba, the other is 100%, in a proprietary formula.
There are arguments that say nothing can be 100%.
When I contacted the company and spoke with a rep, they replied, "Thats why its $60, gets rave reviews, its because we
have something no one else has"
BS? dont know...Im using the less expensive one, as the other wasnt available 3 years ago.
You might see if they still offer a small sample jar.....

I don't think the 100% goes on like butter like the concours-look does and can leave some residue if you try hard enough.
