But thats only for me.

#10952 7 years ago

Pro's already in people's homes in UK.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Wow, that was quick. Did they air those over? How long does a container take from US - UK?

#10954 7 years ago

I'll receive mine early next week. Pro's are shipping peeps.

#10955 7 years ago

Sweet congratulations on games shipping. Now we can get some real feed back from a large group of players.

#10956 7 years ago

Yeah this is great news looks like several unboxings next week.

Quoted from Griffin:

Overseas pros, not domestic US, they come later

Not a month later.

Quoted from jonesjb:

Has anyone gotten to the Stay Puft mode or the we came and kicked it's ass or ready to believe you wizard modes? Or aren't they in the code yet?

Thought I'd bump this question, can anyone confirm?

GOT came over 2 months later. Haha

I made this for my SS. It's an anti-airball target. Has a slight indent and curvature to bias the ball down instead of up.

Played Hilton's new pro at Alt Brewing last night and there are indeed some wicked airballs off those Scoleri brothers targets.

When my GB shows up I may try designing such a part for it as well (though you'd lose the sticker image)

You'd think they would test and and figure this out on their end, right? Or was it one of those, "Good enough. Not spending any more time on it." kind of thoughts?

I wouldn't be surprised if there are extra decals in the goodie bag...if not, spares can probably be purchased. If GB's airballs become a problem, you'll sell a lot of these, Ben!

It doesn't have to have an indent, just a slight "flat" slope...so you wouldn't have to lose the sticker.

Quoted from Griffin:

Pros already shipped overseas in the last couple weeks. Domestic pros are going out to operators right now, including those that are for launch parties and then homeowners will start getting games in about a week and a half to two weeks from what I understand.

#10965 7 years ago

Pro just landed in Portland, OR. Sadly this was taken as I was on my way to work. Will know how it plays in just over eight hours . . .

#10966 7 years ago

Apparently that is #2 in the area. The recently opened Quarter World set theirs up yesterday.

#10967 7 years ago

few more days and mine will be here cant wait so excited

#10968 7 years ago

That flipper gap sure looks large in the multi ball video. Any chance a 3d printer person could make longer flipper bats? Would be better than drilling a center post.

#10969 7 years ago

every Trudeau has that flipper gap I'm pretty sure. Ever play a Mustang, JD, Congo, wwe, BOP, CFTBL?

#10970 7 years ago
Quoted from Mitch:

EVERY. ONE.

#10971 7 years ago

You've played every one or they all have the gap? what about his games like spirit?

#10972 7 years ago
Quoted from system11:

Well, we have to pay about 30% more, that wouldn't be a bad reason.

You're not paying any more - it's just a conversion rate for different currencies. You can't act like 100 dollars = 100 Euros = 100 Yen = 100 etc, because they are not the same. Sometimes the exchange rate helps, sometimes it hurts - but everyone should stop comparing them all like they're the same thing.

Stern isn't making any more money because your exchange rate changed.

Here is what comes in the goody bag.
Extra target decals, sling plastics, bumper sticker. A key fob. And a ghostbusters Pinball stand up.

Nice. Its about damn time some goodies like this are included considering the crazy cost of these games.

#10981 7 years ago

This game is a friend of mine, the story is on facebook.. although there isnt much to report at the moment

#10982 7 years ago

Crappy, hopefully he gets a repacement soon!

#10983 7 years ago
Quoted from Eryeal:

Huh? Pros are shipping out now and are on the line.

I have a deposit on 2. I placed my order 1 day after the official reveal, with a distributor that I've bought nib from before. Not saying I'm at the front of the line, but not at the back. The original quote was mid April. They're getting out to official locations and overseas first. There were delays. What is your distributor telling you?

#10984 7 years ago

Just had an epic game!

GB Premium US: $7095
GB Premium UK: £6995 (in £500 off sale)

Now US prices don't include sales tax, so: £5829 in the UK with 20% lultax removed.

£5829 = $8393

Ok so it's not 30%, but discounting the fact that the real cost ends up past $10k due to tax, even with an approx $700 discount we're still paying $1300 more for the game.

Try living in canada , higher taxes, house prices and way higher pinball prices. Is what it is

#10988 7 years ago

Ghostbusters pro in Ontario Canada $6995 MSRP due to the exchange rate.
+13% tax

So if paying full price $7904 for a GB pro. Or any Stern pro right now.

#10989 7 years ago

Whats the going price on a pro in the us?

Played 6 games on the GB Pro at Game Galaxy in Antioch, TN (Nashville) today and had an ABSOLUTE BLAST. I intended to do a "Roger Sharpe" and leave a couple credits on the game but I could not help myself and played them all. The sound is AWESOME and I purposely just tried to have fun and try different shots rather than work toward goals. It has great flow and the shots feel good. A few airballs both nothing terrible. I have a GB Pro on order and cannot wait for it to be ready for pickup. Hope to maybe plan an un-boxing party for Cincinnati locals.

What's the point? Grabbing your ankles is a Canadian thing?

#10996 7 years ago

Well I had some friends over to play GB .
I had another epic game.

I thought my 1 billion + today was good.

GB is a great game. I'm pleasantly surprised how much coding is in it for its initial release.
And nice to see Midnight Madness back!

A stern pro is now close to 6,000 euros here (US $6,700).
So yes, we are paying more. In large part because of sales tax, but also because of transport and limited competition between resellers.

It would seem to me, by reviews
and chatting, that playing for fun,
and discovering the game is the best way to enjoy!
The. Negatives I have heard were about
Flow, code, strategy, points.
I'm so glad I play for fun, I'm still figuring
out AC/DC!
Bring it on! No high scores ever! Just Fun!

This is how I rate a game - Was it FUN....would I want to go back and play it again and again. Are my hands sweaty and heart thumping? WOZ did that for me, AC/DC, Star Trek. Some others just didn't do a thing for me though I really wanted to like them.
I hope GB plays as good as it looks.
