Indianapolis 500 and Dr Dude as well
Quoted from TKDalumni:Americas Most Haunted at AYCE!! Awesome lineup right now...all games $0.50 lets get a meetup planned.
Awesome. Always wanted to play AMH. Im down.
We had a small tournament last night at AYCE Gogi. We used Matchplay for scoring. 14 people participated on 11 tables. Winner received a $50 AYCE Gogi giftcard. Most likely will have another in 2 weeks, we have Rob Zombie LE inbound and still waiting for GB LE. If ever in the area, the bar is open anytime to play from 11am-11pm.

Yup - Doomid, I'm assuming these are your games at Ayce. First of all, thanks for putting such rare games on location! I spent a few hours playing on Monday. Second - the audio on your RZ is very muffled - I asked about it in the RZ Thread and they said there are individual settings for bass, treble etc and it has the capability to sound clear. Please adjust it for clear music if you get the chance. Thanks!
I dropped out on RZ, but I'm super curious to play it still, I need to make it over there. And you got the LE, which has the way better backglass art (IMHO) so nice job! Echo Rarehero, thanks for putting games like that out on location, very cool.
Had a fun time wednesday night. Traffic was a bear, but it was worth it. Got to play GBLe for the first time and it is much better than the pro. Also got to play RZLE and AMH which were pretty interesting. My second game on GB was not too shabby.
Hey Ive got a buddy in San Diego looking to get his first pin. I know prices are a little higher out there, can any one let me know if they have anything nice for 2-3k range? Would love to be able to flip at his crib when Im out there!

Its all for the love of pinball. Npt sure i noticed the "muffling" but i will definitely play with the aettings more. I just updated it today as well. There are 13 pins and more coming in, especially with the expansion next door where the future bar/arcade will be.
Was at the restaurant last night, food was outstanding, service is top notch, pins were in great shape, highly recommend to stop by if anyone is in the area. Like Greg said, he has some pins you will never see other than in collection at a home or a show, i was even surprised he had a Mustang, which i really liked. I saw where the expansion will be, looks like its going to be even a better place to eat/play in the near future!
Doomid place is awesome. Great food too!
Thinking of coming up tonight. Only AMH I've ever seen on location.
I used to love Korean BBQ, before I had to essentially give it up, being gluten free doesn't mix with soy sauce sadly. Even if I can't eat there the collection is worth the drive, I'll try and find the time.

Being vegan for 17 years I feel really fucking weird walking into this place lol...just had to hold my breath till I got to the back pinball room.
Aurich, i have celiac disease and am very sensitive and have to be very careful with what i eat and i rarely eat out because of it, but he was able to accommodate me with meat that had no marinade and fried rice with no soy sauce that they made in a clean pan so i would not get sick. Thanks Shane! I used salt and pepper and it was still some of the best food i have eaten.

Oh nice, I'm celiac too, good to know.

I have a NGG ad up for $3200
Having another tournament this friday night at AYCE Gogi 8/26 starting around 8:00 pm. There are 13 pins and probably bringing in 2 more.
Depending on turnout would determine the necessity of A and B group. Winner usually gets an AYCE gift card however im thinking to do a buy in which would be divided amongst the top 3 finishers. Please post here or pm if interested in attending. We had 30 ppl compete in our last event. If anyone has been to AYCE, please come early if youd like to eat as fridays tend to be quite busy.
There will also be some Swag giveaways
Thanks

Your spot is so legit. It's a helluva drive up from Orange Co. But I'm gonna try hard to make this.
Firestone Walker and Ballast Point are Co-Hosting/Sponsoring the event. There will be drink specials all night.
That event sounds really cool. I totally wish I could go! The only problem is, living in the IE, I have a rule about driving into LA: I don't. Maybe when they release self-driving cars.
Whats the pin lineup looking like for this weekend at AYCE? Thinking of going and checking it out.
Also, how long is the tournament expected to last? lots of people and 8pm start time sounds like a late late night considering my bedtime is typically 9pm

Being from OC, I wish when it was 100 in the IE, that it wouldnt be 909 in Newport Beach.
If I can make it I will, but tough in the middle of the week, coaching soccer again, dealing with the drive when I'm beat etc. I'd love to get out there though.

we've gotta get cool somehow!!

Do we have to register or will you take walk ins? Not sure if I'm gonna make it but gonna try.
And is the tournament solely on Ghostbusters or is it all machines?
Quoted from doomid:Gonna be fun!
Shane- THat was Fun!!! Thank YOU for a Great Tournament , awesome fun time. Love the Line-up of Amazing pins! Rob Zombie was a treat, and I really like it, fun game play. Dinner before was also awesome, you kidding me??? I'm still full. The line-up of meats to BBQ is second to none. I live in Garden Grove with 50 Korean BBQ's and yours is Tops!! Better selection, more to get and better quality. Worth the drive anytime to eat and play your pins.
I like the shirt too!
Thanks Again,
Eric

Checking in from FV/Huntington Beach area, just found this thread. My son and I can be found at Mission Control on the weekends, Nickel Nickel (I think it's in Garden Grove), and Glowzone HB (machines in bad shape at the moment). Looking forward to following along and learning more about pinball in OC.
This poor thread died years ago...would be nice to see some action on it again sometime. It is amazing how many lurking So Cal collectors there are.
Ill have to stop by Nickel Nickel sometime...I haven’t done that place yet

Same here, anyone recommend it?
Didn't it used to say fun addition. Well now with Odin gone our SoCal brother so is the fun. It would be nice to have a more local and trading group.
Anyone been to retrovolt arcade in Pasadena? Last time I went they had some pins but I haven't been in a couple years.
Quoted from Buzz:Didn't it used to say fun addition. Well now with Odin gone our SoCal brother so is the fun. It would be nice to have a more local and trading group.
Buzz- Agreed. We need pin News, Arcade News, Local Tourny News.
This thread should turn into an Event and Local Trade thread.
