Whats the turnout like? (other than Pinburgh), not a lot of bodies in those photos?
Looks incredible though.

Quoted from bangerjay:Do it better Jared !
I don't read Jared's comments as being critical of anything, other than "Where are the people?" since this show deserves to have a ton of them.
I do think that this show can build on their reputation from this year, now that we've all seen what the show actually is. Hopefully the financials make sense.
Quoted from mhs:The best advertising for year #2 is year #1
I agree. Congrats on an amazing year 1.
Quoted from MrBally:Let's be honest here, the promoters would rather you be there and pay for show admission than watch it over the internet with them not making any money.
The broadcasts exist to promote competitive pinball, far bigger picture than focusing on what is collected at the door for this one show.
Quoted from ninjadoug:We initially weren't going to broadcast due to manpower, but decided any stream we could put up would be better than just recording and releasing at a later time.
It shouldn't be a surprise that people were clamoring for more broadcasts, papa.tv is a success with tens of thousands of viewers, and a hugely successful kickstarter. I understand there was manpower issues with executing an event this size, but I'm surprised the broadcasts fell all the way to an afterthought.
Quoted from dmbjunky:ten of thousands at one time or total? The highest number I saw last night was 200.
I knew the numbers were thrown around before, I got this from their kickstarter:

At the Tournament Circuit Finals on April 11, 2013, and again at the Pinburgh 2013 Finals on April 14, we partnered with GeekGamer.TV to conduct a proof-of-concept live broadcast of those events, using borrowed cameras and GeekGamer.TV's broadcast equipment. Even though this was our first attempt, the broadcasts were a huge success, each with over 30,000 viewers.
Quoted from cards25:I completely agree with all of this. Even with the decision to just broadcast the semi-finals and the finals, it was still around 6 hours. That's plenty of broadcast time. You also have to remember that with 40 qualifiers for finals in A division, there weren't many people left to do commentary on the early rounds......they were all playing.
A big Thank You to PAPA and all the commentators for volunteering your time.
My initial comments were in response to there almost being no broadcast at all. That's all. I agree, 6 hours of semi finals and finals is actually pretty decent. Maybe all I'm suggesting is make that the goal, and promote it, make sure links are out, and that the audience can be as big as possible for those 6 hours. That's all.
I did watch some of the 6 hours and enjoyed it, as past broadcasts.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Telling you guys, a moon mat in front of every game would be awesome.
More authentic would be Stern-brand cardboard
