Quoted from OzarkKing:

Lake Ozark MO here and affords numerous possibilities to boat to play pinball...directly across the Lake there's a bar (Larry's) with a Bride of Pinbot (use to have a Circus Voltaire). Over on the strip the Dogpatch has LOTR, AC/DC, Wipeout, Black Rose, Nascar, ST-TNG, and some older tables I didn't recognize. Down Horseshoe Bend Parkway, The Office at last check had BM-TDK, GoT, NBA, MET and others. zh20son, that's funny your Whirlwind came from OK because they take their 'nados serious down there. Similarly the POTC in my lakehouse helps set the pirate-y tone for visitors.

I haven't been to dog patch in two decades, maybe three! It was always a huge treat to go there as a kid.

Lots of great memories down that way for me in my youth. Silver Dollar City, water skiing, Yakov Smirnoff.

Ok, two out of three!

Representing the "far east" over in St. Lou. Great thread! Now a Favorite.

Ditto!

If anyone is interested in a very nice STTNG that’s been off route since 1998, PM me. I’ll be heading to Oklahoma end of June, and could stretch into Kansas for the right deal and get it to you.

Any Zaccaria collectors in the area? Been cleaning up a Pinball Champ but going to have to send the boards out to repair an issue with the insert lighting. Otherwise it's real solid and I'd just as soon get it out of the basement now instead of waiting on a repair.

Funny you should ask. Not a Zaccaria collector but I picked this up Friday. Playfield is in incredible shape. It's not working yet. Suspected power problem.

Hey mantz88, I would really love to learn how this turns out for you. I think I know where you got this one and I had looked at it a few weeks ago. I wasn't ready for a full on project again since I got my Twister up and cleaned. My kids weren't happy because they loved the color of it. Oh well.

I figured some people on here would recognize it since there were people trying to offer her more money for me not to show up. I got the fuses replaced, reconnected all the boards and powered it up last night. Only GI comes on. I tested the volts at the main plug and it was receiving volts, but none of the other boards are getting power. I'm going to start with replacing the capacitors. They are dated 5/84. Other than that, the boards are in just as nice shape as the playfield.

Anyone interested in a player's condition Grand Lizard?

#69 5 years ago

Put the Xenon from the Wichita auction up for sale. Nothing wrong with it at all and it actually looks very nice with the backglass and GI LEDs. I have purchased too many machines in the last few months and something had to give.

Anyone with a Gottlieb Spirit of '76 in need of a new home? Project machines welcome!

#72 5 years ago

Xenon down to $1550. If it doesn't sell soon I will be keeping it for a bit.

I am a long time collector in Wichita. I have recently heard people complaining about United Distributors. Personally I have never had any significant problems with them and have probably bought at least 10 used machines from them at fair prices over the years. You just have to know what to expect and what things are worth. I have recommended several people to them over the years that want to buy a game or need a repair. They have been very helpful to me with fixing problems that inevitably crop up. What experiences have people had with them? I really don't want this to to turn into a bash-fest. I am just curious. Thanks.

I got home with my first pin almost 3 years ago. There is a problem with the MPU. A tech came to my home but he was not knowledgable with board troubleshooting and took my MPU back to the shop. I guess the guy with the dark hair and beard is the guy that knows boards. He was nice enough to me but it was apparent he was too busy working bigger jobs to spend time on my MPU so I went the Alltek route. I sure would like to be able to spend a couple of days picking his brain.

I stop in every once in a while to see what is for sale.

I live/operate pins in the San Francisco and visit Kansas about twice a year — without any hyperbole whatsoever, Craigslist pinball listings are consistently more expensive in Kansas than the Bay Area. Michigan, Florida, East Coast all have good deals mixed in with the regular craziness. For years I’ve been baffled by the ‘Kansas Bay Area Effect.’ Of course there is a premium on NorCal games, the local economy being what it is. I think there are just more games changing hands so supply is higher. But a tip if the hat (and a lift of the monocle): You permanent KS residents have it hard out there! Today in KC: 4K RCT, 3550 Bally Kiss, 8550 TAS.

I am living in Houston and my work territory has me currently covering Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. If anyone needs pinball transport through these areas, I can help. I have a Honda Pilot so game would be covered and carefully handled by a fellow pinball collector. PM me for details.

I noticed that as well compared to Minnesota, asking prices are very high here from what I have seen. Not sure that much sells though. Seems to be the same pins each time I look.

If anyone is interested, there is a really nice Sky Line EM here in Colby. Only issue I see is that someone painted the cabinet. Ugh! But playfield, backglass are great shape. Underside looks prettt clean. Lady has it listed for $350, but she wants it gone. It’s on northwest Kansas Craigslist

I probably drove right by your place! My wife says we drove right by the post office in Rogersville! My buddy lives at LeaBrooke Estates, just outside of Rogersville. Love the Ozarks!!! Spent a couple days on Table Rock Lake.

Looking for a solid, close-to-working or better, player condition or better B/W Solid State in the KC area if anyone is looking to sell — just looking for something to maintain and play while in town in the 600-1400 zone. I can pick up and pay in cash. Would love to buy from a member of the community and not CL. As mentioned above, I’m an op (mainly at Free Gold Watch in SF) and can have community folks vouch for me if needed.

Picked up a Star Wars DE, No Good Gophers HUO, Pinball Magic, and Maiden. Let's hope they all arrive safely!

Not to name names but the high prices In KC craigslist market can be attributed to a few sellers think we all know who I’m referring to that only care about lining their pockets and being dishonest and screwing good people over in the process. They only care about themselves, they are so insecure they don’t even advertise their games on pinside even though they are members on here secretly trolling looking for next deal to flip. Seems Craigslist and Facebook is their preferred method.

#91 5 years ago

I know one of the flippers but he isn't on here so i am not sure who you are talking about.

I have a Pinbot (and F14) in my long queue of games I need to shop out. If you are interested in an unshopped one, let me know. It plays great but needs new rubbers and a new battery holder at a minimum. Some wear around the pop bumpers, a spot in front of the upper scoop and the keyline at the top of the matrix. I don’t see much wear on the eyes, but it’s dirty. Full mylar with bubbling over inserts and some planking in unmylared areas. Topper is there, cabinet is above average with some scratches on head - body looks really nice. Send me your phone # if you are interested and I’ll snap some pics. $1500 is probably about what I would ask.

Thinking about selling AFMRLE to make room for Munsters on the way.
Cliffy
Pinstadium with UV

Someone talk me out of it..............lol

#96 5 years ago

I'm interested in finding a Gottlieb System 1. Prefer a bit of a project to give me something new to learn about, so board/mechanical issues are fine. However, no trashed playfield art. My preference is for Joker Poker, Sinbad, or Cleopatra (in that order), but I'm happy to consider other System 1 titles (well, outside of the widebodies).

#97 5 years ago

If a collector quality BK2K ever shows up there will be a nice player quality one avail in KC area.
