Haha... glass was on, but I honestly was like, ah... was that a glitch? Something within Car Choas really allowed me to get that score. Now to try and repeat this and figure out what I actually hit or stacked to get there. FWIW highest score before was 847M, so this feels like a rouge score achievement for me.
Need to get one of those tools. But did check and none of the car switches are stuck closed or seeming to fire with other playfield movement. But going to keep an eye on it for sure. Thanks for the pointers. Also will try to knowingly get boost and then car chaos
I did just get a 1.675B score which felt good. This game is getting into my dreams… glad it is the weekend.
Thanks everyone for the pointers and discussion. I have checked the car targets and none of the switches are closed, and can't seem to trigger them by putting some pressure on the playfield. That being said the yellow car target leaf switch does look too close. I will post a pic tonight if I can to the game. Going to pick up a leaf switch tool regardless cause I am sure it will get use. I got a couple 1B (1.9B once) scores and it was definitely caused by having boost going into Car Chaos. I am also going to get a tripod setup so I can capture some game play, which I think will also help me learn faster what is working for score, and what isn't. Hard to tell much while I am just trying not to drain.
Quoted from BudManPinFan:Question for the group, I see PinballStar advertising a Hot Wheels Deluxe version for sale. What’s the difference between the standard and the ‘deluxe’ version?
I believe deluxe refers to having a shaker, invisible glass, and side rails. But agree, I would confirm with PinballStar so you get what you want.
Is it just me, or is completing a race pretty difficult? I still haven’t completed one but getting pretty close.
Quoted from pinball2020:RandomRetro Getting to and battling Draven is harder for me . Patience is the key. It is like a lot of pinball shots and progressions just a matter of practicing getting the shots right. Just keep playing and practice just going for race mode shots and you will get it. Good luck!
Yeah, I still just brick a too many shots or hit weak shots for left loop or right ramp. But will get there and will enjoy the Victory multiball!
Quoted from Mr_Outlane:Get the mystery awards (question Mark when lit), they often move you up several places in the race.[quoted image]
Won my first race finally, 5:11. Used mystery once to advance help for sure! Now to get sub 5.
Quoted from pinstyle:You shouldn't be waiting long, these guys are really good with helping people out. I am sure someone will chime in soon to help you out.
Calling during biz hours works too for a quick response. They are on point with helping folks out.
Quoted from gipinball:Anyone else waiting for an American Pinball game.
Supply chain/parts? There seems to be a delay in production. Anyone have any insight?
Can’t wait to get my Hot Wheels!
I had mine ordered in July and was delivered just at the beginning of the year. Well worth the wait. And FWIW I have been waiting longer for Mandalorian. NIB is a waiting game.
Quoted from jumpyg1258:That's kind of surprising cause I put in my order in August and got it in December. I wonder if its cause I had ordered the deluxe version with knocker, shaker, and magic glass?
I got deluxe too actually. But who knows…
Quoted from frankmac:Deluxe says enhanced side rails what is this?Thx
Basically this…

Quoted from Weazel:Looks good .. no problems there and the height is good also.
Thanks
Quoted from gipinball:Have about 20 games into my new Hot Wheels. Shots are narrow but so far I like it.
Had a problem, during my best game ever (typical) finished first place during victory lap then I assume switches for pop bumpers/left up kick and center targets would not register? Solenoids I assume worked because during ball search left up kick fired. Started new game, same problem, pop bumpers/up kicker center targets (maybe others) not registering. Was freaking out a little, thought maybe fuse, loose connection ?(all checked out of the box before game turned on). Turned game off to investigate, decided to boot it back up first, and now working.
Anyone else have this happen? Software bug? It’s working ok now but brand new game figured I’d head off future issues.
Thanks
Never had this issue myself. Not sure what it could be.
Quoted from Mr_Outlane:I was hoping AP would chime in here since they frequent the thread.
Paging brenna98 for you.
Quoted from Ballderdash:That was fast! Thanks LTG. Is this a big concern or should it be easily resolved per your instructions?
Should be easy fix.
Quoted from sidesmack40:Thanks I will order that along with the bumper tire covers! Do you enjoy the machine? I’m ordering it without ever playing it. Looks fun on videos and price range is good.
Game is good fun and a good NIB value if you ask me. Shots can be tight for me, but rules are easy to understand and allows for most anyone to enjoy a game on the table and get into it. Rock solid build quality so low maintenance on machine. Just get someone to play redline mania and check their heart rate. It can be a mess of balls for me, but always a rush playing it.
Quoted from Flipstream:Not on my machine. Does the left orbit rail need to be adjusted a bit?
Not sure on the rail. Here is a pic of what it looks like. Level is 6.5 fwiw. Also since I was looking closely at my playfield. Looks like I need to lower my tower drop target. It looks a little high and is causing balls to not settle in the scoop.
I did get a 984M score last night. Felt good but was basically just juicing T-Rex for like 814M of that score

Quoted from brenna98:Spoke yesterday. Solution was left-to-right level.
If you're using a phone app to level, these need to be recalibrated every so often. When you're done leveling, take a single ball, reach up as far as you can centered between the flippers and let it roll. Do this several times. If the ball has an arch and goes anywhere besides straight down the middle, your leveling app is off.
Yep, thanks for the time yesterday @brenna98! AP support is the best.
Quoted from sidesmack40:Can you recommend a good leveling app?
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pinguy/id782973821
Need to make sure to calibrate on a level surface, and you have to recalibrate at times. But a great tool to have.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:Try them both and keep on what you like! I'd probably vote for yellow.
I like that plan. I am leaning towards yellow so reds up first.
Quoted from Ballderdash:Let’s see pictures of both!
Both look pretty sick if you ask me!

The red looks a little too serious and blends in. Hard to say. Everyone has their preference. Let us know which you decide to keep on.
Going with yellow for a bit! They are Titans and they feel good on the game FWIW.
Flipper strength question. I have my flippers set to 28 (25 is default I think). My flippers, especially the left feel pretty weak lately; even on game 1 after turning the pin on. Hitting the right ramp with left from a cradle is near impossible right now. Interested in what others have their flippers set to?
Right ramp is my achilles heel on this game regardless.
Quoted from LTG:Might be time to inspect them. Remove the coil stop, slide the coil off. Plunger clean ? Sharp edge or mushroomed on part that hits the coil stop ? Coil sleeve clean and not cracked or broken ? Plunger/pawl move freely, yet not too worn and freely ?
LTG : )
Well everything checks out. No issues with plunger, coil sleeve is not cracked or broken. Clean things up and feels a little better, but still weaker than expected. Going to work with support to see if there is something I am missing before maybe swapping the coil.
Just trying to confirm a minor rule regarding Pit Stop. Once it is lite, subsequent triggers on that target alternate Pit Stop being lite and un-lite, correct?
Quoted from RYE_:Oof including again last night. 5th time to the tower, still no candy. Damn you Draven! Shooting the BATTLE targets really has a knack for getting the ball bouncing between the slings and eventually draining down an outlane. *cries in pinball*
I hear you. Draven continues to allude me as well. Love this game and then I want to flip it on its back box! You can drain so fast.
Keep up the fight!
Had a game tonight where I got loop crash and victory multiball at once. Wish I recorded it cause it was a bit nutty and a lot going on.
Have others triggered both multiballs at once?
Still hunting Draven down!
Quoted from Weazel:It seems that big collection owners love their HW machines.
It's a challenging game so Weazel has some tips on how to beat the machine.
I'll post once I have collected my thoughts.
It's easy to get to a billion when you know how. That's when things really start cooking!
We manage to get 20 mins each game generally and a game less than a billion is a disappointment for us.
Please do post your tips on beating the machine!
