Just ordered a Hot Wheels through Fargo Pinball (@BillPinball), can't recommend them enough for your NIB needs. I was mulling the idea of either AIQ, GNR, Beatles or Hot Wheels. Beatles was number one but the 8k price disqualifies it and the other two don't look very interesting. Hot Wheels seems to have everything in my type of pin: layout, rules, art, fun. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Quoted from Happy81724:

How long does it take to get a hot wheels. It’s been weeks since ordering and my distributor hasn’t heard anything. No worries if it takes a bit just excited to get it

Ordered mine on Monday afternoon, got here this morning. Was playing by 11am.

Quoted from Cobra:

Just got it home finally.
When there is no sound coming from the speakers, do any of yours have a loud static sound coming from them? Like interference of some sort?
Really annoying.

Yes, i adjusted the levels on the amplifier

Does American still have the buy one get one $500 off deal? or was that only if you bought Okt or Houdini towards Hot Wheels? Just bought Hot Wheels and now want Oktoberfest...lol

Quoted from Cobra:

Loves this game. But.
I am getting so many rejects from the track builder saucer. It goes past the gate and some how comes back down.
The ball rattles between the guides on the inner left loop a lot.
And when the ball hits the left side of the R target it bounces left and hits the guide and then rattles back and forth between the guides.
It is almost like the R target would have been better position if it was a little to the right and the guide behind it was a little longer so the ball would hit the guide and continue up instead of bouncing off the R target.
Anyone else having these things happen?
And why can't I backhand the outer left loop like Danger did in the video with Rosh?

I can backhand the left loop and right ramp. To backhand the left loop, the shot has to be perfect, otherwise it rattles. Once I got it down,
it's made about 80% of the time. I reduced flipper power down to 22 and playfield is at about 6.5 degrees.

#1874 3 years ago

I have 50 games so far on mine and not one stuck ball. My pitch is a little steeper than recommended at 6.5°

Quoted from Vegas9:

Thank you for acquiring Hot Wheels. We hope you love it.
Unfortunately, the promotion you are referring to was a temporary offering that expired at the end of 2019.
Thank you for considering Oktoberfest!

Dang, didn't seem like that long ago. I'd pick one up in a heartbeat if it was still going in. I miss my Oktoberfest but took a bath on it when I sold it after buying new. One of the most fun games ever and compliments Hot Wheels nicely. Excellent work AP.

I ordered PinStadiums for my Hot Wheels, should be here tomorrow. I think dark playfields are a result of RGB GI lighting, I've noticed it in JJP games that use it as well.

#1933 3 years ago

Here is the before and after installing the PinStadiums with a photo of the ambient lighting. Looks really nice with the warm white, highlights the cars more as well. Both photos used the same shutter speed, iso, and aperture so a direct comparison can be more accurate.

Quoted from PinballRulez:

Mine was already included (dog wasn't ). Not sure though if done by Pinball Universe (distributor) or AP.

Mine was there already as well

Quoted from Mr_Outlane:

So, I'm thinking of buying a Hot Wheels. Does anyone know where to buy the correct shaker motor for this pin? I'm not sure if they sold out the first 500 pins yet either?
Thanks!

I just got mine a couple weeks ago and it had a shaker in it.

#2041 3 years ago
Quoted from Mr_Outlane:

That's good news! Hope I can get one. The first 500 have them. Did you get the free topper too?

I did get the topper, it's nothing special. I actually took it off, still a nice gesture of the company.

#2059 3 years ago

If it really bothers you, I'd swap it out for a green standup if they make them.

#2063 3 years ago
Quoted from Cobra:

I am more worried about the RPM targets getting beat to shit.

Yep, those targets take a beating, probably wont be too hard to get new RPM decals if needed.

Is there a bug where you can't start the race when you hit the skill shot on ball one? The magnet catches it but the race doesn't start for the rest of ball one. I had that happen for crash loop mb as well, magnet would catch but wouldn't start the mode. I hit the left orbit at least 4 times, but the next ball it started when I hit the orbit.

#2225 3 years ago
Quoted from rosh:

check the left orbit entry switch

Will do, but either mode (race or loop crash mb) will start on the next ball

Quoted from NoQuarters:

Have been playing my game the last couple of nights after being away from it a little while. When I got done playing I thought again this was the best game I have bought in the last year for sure. Hot Wheels is a great game.
If Game #4 is anything like this "playability" wise count me in and bring it on.

I hope AP is going to see a larger market share with JJPs price hike, best value in pinball.

Quoted from buckw:I bought this secondhand and there appears to be mylar (or similar) protective stickers stickers in front of the slingshots. This is my first pin so I’m wondering if this is something that’s factory installed or something the previous owner put on? It affects the ball trajectory when it’s moving slowly.

It's from the factory
