Hmmm, Deadpool costume, Munsters outfit, could this be Redline Tire Pasties? Lol. Looking forward to this thanks.

I must say, it really is a breath of fresh air to see someone like AP firing on all cylinders given all the ongoing negativity/uncertainty with other manufacturers.

Took the "deep dive", got stoked about the game (really does look sensational and should be appealing to both operators and home users), and had to continuously remind myself that it's only going to cost a couple hundred more OTD than a Stern Pro! Very well-done, AP, I hope you guys are wildly successful with this!

If the game features the same solid build quality as Houdini and OKF and sells well (which seems likely based upon what I have seen), I think AP will start putting some much needed pressure on the others, especially given the surprisingly reasonable MSRP. Thinking mostly with my "left brain", I just don't see any significant justification to choose a Stern Pro over this game, given how much more AP seems to be offering at roughly the same price point. (In fact, I think this game might even eclipse the average Premium in several ways.)

I haven’t followed AP very closely and don’t own any of their games.
Have they had any play field issues like Stern and JJP? How is the overall quality of materials in an AP game?

I've never seen any reports of playfield issues on either of their games, the one in my Houdini is absolutely perfect with very minimal dimpling. Build quality of the cabinet is very solid and they use WMS / WPC style mechs for flippers, it feels a lot more like one of my old WPC games than it does a new Stern for sure. Electronics are primarily built using P3-ROC on the first two, not sure if HW does too but I suspect it does. So far the only consistent component issue I've seen reported is with the pressure switches they use for the beer barrel locks in OKT.

We certainly think so! Remember that Hot Wheels comes standard with all-RGB lights on the playfield, side art blades, the lenticular back panel, and a real glass backglass, just to name a few of our standout features. Oh, and free shaker motor included on the first 500 games!

And of course, most importantly... Hot Wheels is super fun to play!

#309 3 years ago

Are they going to show the game's topper? Too soon? LOL.

For real, I'm REALLY excited to see this game.

It's a Hot Wheels car that rumbles and shoots mode-specific colored flames out the side pipes, price TBA.

It sounds like you purchased a TMNT like myself. I knew I was buying the game that was released first. However; I now find myself thinking about what other game I can sell to get this one.

#312 3 years ago

I’m sure lots of folks have funny hot wheels stories/memories from growing up...I remember finding a painted turtle and trading it to my neighbor for a Hot Wheels Paddy Wagon. His mom was so mad when he “traded me something of value for something I just found in the mud” lol
Kind of fitting with the tmnt/hot wheels dilemma some of you guys are having

#313 3 years ago

Will the stream be recorded to view later?

Quoted from Eskaybee:

Streams always have to be viewed live and never get on YouTube the next day or ever

Well, actually. If you remember or weren’t around, stern didn’t allow recorded VOD streams at one time. So had to ask.

#316 3 years ago

Wow that in depth review was great and peaked my interest in a theme I had no interest in. It looks good. Looking forward to gameplay videos.

Ok fair enough. Am I the only one that enjoyed building models and collecting Hot Wheels to blow them up or set fire to them...... Wow I was a crazy minded kid. Don't even get me started on those awesome COX gas cars, Wow those were fun!

We never did that but we would build big, detailed encampments in the yard for Army men and then throw firecrackers and other fireworks into it for hours on end until we had completely destroyed it. May have placed a Hot Wheel or Matchbox car / jeep / Army vehicle in there from time to time. Ahhh the good 'ol days!

I was a Hot Wheels junkie... my toy of choice as a kid... that and Stompers!... Stompers LE!

How crude, me and my friend would heat up needles and painstakingly put bullet holes in the figures and use red markers to simulate blood... But maybe that's just because we couldn't get our hands on fireworks

COX gas cars...I remember those. 2 stroke dirt bikes always reminded me of them due to the exhaust fumes. Estes model rockets. You could launch your Hot Wheels on them in the see through cargo tube.

I’d always tape bottle rockets to my hotwheels to “try and make them go as fast as race cars”...I don’t know why mom or dad would never help me make sure the tape was tight enough

The game definitely looks absolutely bitchin’, and will obviously be even better in person where those details can be fully appreciated!; I also find it very easy to believe the game will be great to play, based on what I saw in the “deep dive”!

I have games by most of the companies now building (Stern, CGC, JJP, AP, and soon Spooky). Overall, I think they all do a great job but none better than AP. Fortunately, I have not had the cc problems that others have. My OKT has the best playfield (no dimpling or chipping) that I have in my collection and the cabinet is solid. Their overall build quality is simply superb. I absolutely have no regrets with my OKT and I would certainly consider another AP game if I only had the room.

This week, I have been helping my son rebuild his hot wheels "wall tracks". Wall tracks were kits sold around 2012-2014 that you could connect together to race cars down the wall. Unfortunately, his mom won't let use extend into the kitchen.

They wouldn't. Just look at that back of most papers and all the sites for escorts online. Its alive and well my friend.

It wasn't before, I started to watch it but had to pause it for work (dammit). First couple minutes were pretty entertaining! Perhaps there's an embargo that Zach didn't know about to allow DeadFlip's stream tomorrow night to be the first official look at it.

#334 3 years ago

Most likely. I got 2 minutes in before it went offline. Fun open.

#336 3 years ago

For what its worth, it looked AWESOME! Get mine early next week and Glad I jumped in early. You guys Clearly were busy cranking on this over the shut down. Thanks!!

#337 3 years ago

Just watched the sdtm initial review.
They really seem excited and giddy.
Congrats AP.

#338 3 years ago

I am very excited for y'all to see what we've been cooking up for the past few months... it's a really fun game. I wish there were shows right now so everyone could get some flips on the machine, but until then, hopefully folks will get a good sense of it from the current and upcoming coverage online. Also looking forward to hearing people's thoughts when you start receiving your own machines.

Always exciting to see the first machines going into boxes.
