After watching Hot Wheels pinball - Tutorial and gameplay by Dave's Arcade. I subscribed. But game play went from 500-700 mill to 1-2 Billion.
Thanks brenna98

Thanks for the Sub! It will be hard for me to beat that score.
Dang! That is a most excellent score, Flipstream, congrats! I don't think I've (legitimately) broken 5-ish billion myself. Where were your big points?
To your latter question... I do know that both Hot Wheels and Oktoberfest owners are eagerly awaiting code updates... my apologies for the delay.

Car Chaos was a good chunk. That mode gets nuts with a high tach, and more so with a turbo. I think I got a good amount out of a stacked Victory Lap and Loop Crash MB as well. I know I finished in second gear and got that relatively early. I usually try to do RLM right off the bat for a quicker hero car toward an extra ball.
Will the game logs still be there after powering off the table, and do they have scores/shot info by default? I can grab a copy when I power up the machine tomorrow if that's the case.

No worries, just asking if there was an ETA. I'm sure your collective hands are full with the newer LoV table plus any unannounced secret squirrel stuff.
Fingers crossed we'll see some Scorbit support eventually too!
Dang it, how did you hear that our next theme is Squirrels?! (No offense to Miss Morgan from Wisconsin...)
Scorbit support should eventually come along, but expect it to be several months.
And you're right that Car Chaos can get very juicy if you get there. What do you (anyone) think -- a little too juicy? Certainly seems to be the most common cause of scores really blowing up. It's intended to be valuable, but... maybe... it's a little too valuable.
It isn't easy to qualify directly, although usually happens on the games I've earned Rip Rod, Sharkcruiser, and Bone Shaker. Bone Shaker gets you 25% of the way there by itself from the Cars Epic Feature requirement.
I'm not really a competitive player, although I could see a tournament winner coming down to who played Car Chaos or how well they milked the mode.
Possibly a stupid question but where does one get a flipper rebuild kit for Hot Wheels? Or are their flipper assemblies compatible with another brand? I've searched a few different sites as I need to rebuild mine and only seeing Stern, JJP, Spooky but oddly not finding anything American.

We did it! A legend is born!

Quoted from Ferret:Woot, congrats!
But now you've left us in suspense... did you win Legend MB? Did you, in fact... become a Hot Wheels™?
I didn't get the Legend jackpot or turn into a die-cast metal car. I cut the clip there because the playfield camera was incorrectly set to auto focus and kept going horribly in and out of focus through the whole multiball mode.
There were still a handful of shots to go when the time ran out. Unfortunately, I had no idea how the mode worked or that it was timed until I was pretty far into the timer since I was figuring stuff out on the fly.
I also think I found a bug: the Victory Lap race start magnet catch clears the left ramp hit for the Gorilla battle, although the Loop Crash MB magnet catch does not.

Thanks for the bug report. Nice catch!

Haven’t started Car Chaos yet. High score is 3.3B in about 30 plays. Older code installed. Stacked Victory Lap MB with Loop Crash MB. High RPMs and started Turbo for double scoring. Also started RLM scoring a Super.
So many strategies and risk/reward in learning Hot Wheels, very cool! In fact, in another game I had all Hero Cars except one. Score was 770M even though I “accomplished” more. Hot Wheels Legend, here I come!

3.5B, I stand corrected. Relatively short game time.
Just got done updating my code. Everything went fine and when I take out the usb and power cycle my game the game boots up but no video or sound. Also getting these 2 errors on start up.
Failed to start rotate log files
Failed to start daily man-db regeneration
I’ve tried updating the code multiple times and getting the same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Everything was working fine prior to trying to update the code.
Don't know if this helps people or not - I always look at the flash drive, then reformat the flash drive before loading any pinball machine update/new release software not only to play it safe but to ensure I am using the right USB drive and not blitzing anything I needed for something else .
Quoted from sidesmack40:I have a HW on order to receive end of year can anyone recommend any Mods that are worth getting?
Buy the Deluxe version and you're all set.

Thanks that’s what I have ordered. Is the bumper tire covers worth getting? Is this a good game for home use looks fun?

I didnt know about those. The flat stock ones do look cheesy. I think I want those now. Lol.
I'm enjoying mine so far, as does my young boy. Definitely a fun pin and arguably the only new pin bargain left. Very pleased with my purchase.

Ya that’s another reason the pricing is good for this machine. Ya check out those tire covers think they are on mod couples. Thanks for your advice on the game
You can buy two for the price of a toy story.truly the only new deal in all of pinball. and it’s lots of fun.

Totally agree. Only thing is I haven’t played it and ordering it based on videos and price. Hope we enjoy it. I have a 8 and 6 year old who love our JP Pro. Only room for one more pin

Is this just a issue with the hotwheels or or other machines?

Rattling glass occurs on certain pins with big woofers and bass soundtracks. Electrical tape works as well. May need to double it up at the corners.

The custom pop bumper covers are a great addition however they can cause a ball to get trapped there.
Quoted from Ballderdash:Anyone in or near Michigan thinking about or wanting to sell their Hot Wheels? My sons and I just missed an opportunity for a used HUO and have started the search. Thank you!
I’m on the list with Maine home recreation to get one from APs next run at end of fall if you can’t find one I’d recommend them. No sales tax or shipping

Dang is that a frequent problem? I may avoid them if that’s the case

It is not a frequent problem, unless you have a lot of airballs.
There seem to be several on route in Michigan.

Well that’s fun! Thank you. My newb is showing... Consider me enlightened.
Glad to help. PinballMap is an excellent resource for finding games on location. Pinside also has a similar tracking service (e.g. https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/hot-wheels-american-pinball/owners for Hot Wheels) but in my experience, PinballMap's information is usually more up-to-date.

Hotwheels is a fun challenging pin that hits every note. Easy to play for newbies, challenging for those who are not.
Superior after sales support and ongoing code improvement too boot. If Halloween hadnt hit and fomo hit hard, I would be on the list for a Hot Wheels.
Noticed a few times the ball would auto launch after immediately pulling back the plunger. It’s very intermittent but it happened a few times during our tournament last night. Any thoughts?
Quoted from madamyates:Noticed a few times the ball would auto launch after immediately pulling back the plunger. It’s very intermittent but it happened a few times during our tournament last night. Any thoughts?
Only thing that comes to mind right now might be if the game had a hyper-sensitive switch somewhere that was triggering from the vibration of touching the machine / pulling the plunger -- enough to make the game think the playfield is valid and it should clear the plunger lane.
If you have operator access to the machine and want me to take a peek for you, make sure the machine's clock is set correctly, and have a USB thumb drive on standby to capture logs next time it happens... send me the logs with the date/time of the glitch, and I'll see what I can see.
Quoted from Ballderdash:but think the lip is unusual.
Sticking up a little.
Below the playfield is a screw ( might have a nut to loosen first and then tighten ) that you can raise or lower it to be level with the playfield. At the bottom of the assembly.

That was fast! Thanks LTG. Is this a big concern or should it be easily resolved per your instructions?

Should be easy fix.
Quoted from Ballderdash:Is this a big concern or should it be easily resolved per your instructions?
Easiest thing you'll ever fix or adjust. See picture. Screw is to the left of the red arrow. ( this drop target is from a different game, will look the same when you work on your game )
Might take a tweak or two to get it to the height you like.
