I got the MezelMods Ecto-1 car, and mounted it on my right ramp. There are actually multiple places you can put it, such as the firehouse or top of the left ramp as alternates. I like the right ramp since the ramp decal depicts traffic and it's an easy tie in to the Ecto Goggles light, so it lights up when there's a ghost to catch in the goggles.

Yeah, issues aside, I don't think I've been as addicted to a single pinball machine ever. It's too early to say where it fits in my overall rankings, but it's on the short list of all-time greats for me. I can't wait to see how things evolve with code refinement, but the layout is such a great shooter that everything just feels so satisfying to hit.

Favorite modes right now: Spook Central, The Ballroom, and Back Off Man.

I reported my ghosting issues. My Tobin's insert is starting to chip a little. Bums me out, man. All in all, I have 4 ghosted inserts, one starting to show chipping. I'm also shocked at how quickly the shooter lane is wearing. My AC/DC still has no wear, and neither do my Iron Man, Spider-Man, or Tron machines. My TSPP was routed, so it has some wear, but after thousands of games, you'd expect it.

Just put in an hour of 2-player games with my wife. It's such a great game.

I put the airball plastic on, and it makes contact with the ball on a ramp shot. I'm going to have to throw some washers on to raise it, but right now it eliminates backhands and makes right flipper shots sloppy.

Bad node boards. Seems common.

I still love the game, but I have to admit, I'm getting the itch for a code update. It's been a long while on the same version.

I'd say it's fair to have huge points gated behind hard to reach modes. To me that's good balance. Scoleri targets need to be worth more outside of multiball. There are a few tweaks to scoring and goals that could make the ramp up to big points more even, however.

So has anybody been able to use the airball protector with their LE/premium? Shots to the ramp will hit the protector, and backhands are impossible with it in place. I tried to shim it up with a couple of washers, but you can't screw the nut back down when you do.

Also, I finally replaced the left ramp switch, because the one on there isn't any good. It's an Omron switch, which is more stiff than a Cherry switch, so I found that once in a while it won't register. I swapped it out with a Cherry and it's perfect now. The pic with the three switches shows two Cherry switches (top, right), and the original Omron that Stern used (bottom/left). The bottom pic shows the new switch in place. Even the slowest rollers register just fine.
