Will it include lots of nudity? I haven't gotten into GoT, but the few times I was flipping through the channels, I think there was always some naked breasts on screen.

Quoted from pezpunk:

I don't think they'd go to the trouble of making official CGI that interacts with the show intro's assets just for a ten second teaser video.

They did a custom video teaser for Mustang where the ball is rolling around Mustangs.

So whats Sterns NEXT game?

#1018 8 years ago

Should Stern slow down on their games? They all seem the same to me. Take some time, and create a unique experience.

Also, I'd kinda like to see Stern hire an actual design agency to design cabinet artwork. Game would look so much better. There could be some really awesome looking games.

I surprised HBO didn't get their designers involved. I've always like their promo spots, and intro videos for shows.

Quoted from DefaultGen:

The gray circle gradient behind the shields is top notch though.

Maybe we should buy their designer an updated copy of a book of Photoshop tricks. I think they've applied every kind of 2003 Layer Style they could to the shield and all the elements around it. Drop shadows, bevel and emboss, inner glow, stroke, color fill, texture, and satin.

i forgot how much fun lens flares are.

I forgot Lens Flare was even still in Photoshop. I had to find it to be sure.

Quoted from Aurich:

I don't think he's the right person for the job at Stern personally.

As a Graphic Designer myself, I agree with you. Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses with design. I have to constantly tell my workplace that I'm not an illustrator. Then they're like "would you like Lynda training in Illustrator?" I have to point out that I know Illustrator, I'm not AN ILLUSTRATOR. Two different things. I'd have to go to Art school for that. I went to Graphic Design school.

I'd love to try my hand at designing a pinball machine, but sadly, I'd guess my outcome wouldn't be much better than this GoT.

Quoted from aingide:

And there was some borrowing going on

It looks like he may have upgraded to a Wacom tablet to do the GoT Archer.

Quoted from T-800:

at the end of it all you don't have a real, physical piece of art.

I grew up way later in the graphic design evolution. One place I worked at, an AE always said to make it "camera ready" whenever he signed off on the design. I had to ask the Sr. Designer what the meaning behind that phrase was. Was to get the physical pieces of the artwork together and placed, to be be ready for the camera. So "kinda like putting together a scrapbook?" Yep.

Kinda wish I grew up in that time, because I like doing things the manual way. Kinda relaxing, and makes time go by faster. There's so much time left when I make a PDF.

"Game of Thrones pinball will not be available in digital form at launch, but Dankberg says they are working on digitizing Stern games from the past and present with Zen Pinball. The ultimate goal is to one day co-release a digital and physical version of a pinball machine."

This is kind of disappointing given that Pinball Arcade already has a relationship with Stern. Not of fan of Zen pinball. Always feels laggy, and over the top.

Why the big secrecy with the Premium? Shouldn't the LE be the big final reveal?

Quoted from BoJo:

Cause they don't want to take away sales from the LE

Then they're doing it wrong.

If they're afraid of Premiums taking away from the LE sales, then the Limited Editions aren't special enough.

Quoted from pinballwil:

Lets see first how all 3 FINAL REAL versions will look like.
These are computer pictures.!!!!!.

They're mockups! And they were presented to the public! Which means, this is the final artwork.
