OMG DOCTOR WHO 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO CONFIRMED
Well, I sure am glad the rules are solid on this title!
Quoted from BillySastard:Who wants the F is this Jack Danger guy and why should I give a shit that he's the one playing GOT? If it's being held at Stern, why not have Lyman play it?
He's only THE BEST PINBALL STREAMER EVER. Trust me on this one!
Yeah, about my previous decisions? I changed. Medieval Madness on steroids. I'd sell my Star Trek for this.
Quoted from Arcade:His Star Trek is the Data East version.
Nope, its the Stern, unless you were being sarcastic
The Data East table sucks. I don't know what pinball fan would own that table, no offense
Quoted from Jvspin:Funny, I was just thinking Star Trek offered more with the third flipper and warp ramp. GOT looks like a fun game to shoot but I don't see where the pro offers much value over other recent titles, unless the code takes it to a different level.
Honestly, while Star Trek has flow, theres some shots that have always felt a bit clunky to me. At times, the warp ramp feels like pure luck to hit, as does the left ramp.
IMO Game of Thrones delivers a much more "don't blink or you'll miss it" type playfield. The closest game I can compare it to in this regard is Johnny Mnemonic
Quoted from DaveH:I actually liked that aspect of it. If I unbox a game with some buds, it would sound similar. WTF was that shot. How did you start that mode. Fumble! You suck.
Exactly, which is why I enjoyed the stream. In my opinion, there's times to be serious while playing pinball, like if you were in a tournament, and some times to just let loose and enjoy playing pinball with your friends. It's just that personally, I've played pinball on my own for a long time and I haven't had the same experience as people who team up to play machines.
Quoted from PappyBoyington:Thank you for mentioning this. Stern does something right here and all some do is bitch about the one guy who could end these live streams. Great job guys. Jody didn't bother me. He was having fun and seemed enthuseastic about the game.
A part of this may have been that people expected the reveal was going to be much more professional. I'm sure a lot of people who were on the stream had never heard of Dead Flip before and were raging because of that.
Quoted from Trekkie1978:When they stream the LE, let Lyman play it, while Steve talks about it. Jody should go on a Starbucks run for everyone.
THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. Like honestly, I can't believe I've never seen Lyman play a game live. He's a great coder and I want to see his pinball skills!
Has Stern released the launch party list yet? I'm looking forward to playing it tonight if there's one in Boston
Quoted from scott_freeman:Can anyone confirm if the game has the two wizard modes yet?
Stern,
I would like to buy one of these, but will hold back ordering until the code is finished.
Hand of the King has been completed and I believe the basic code for it is in there, but I'm not sure about Iron Throne yet.
