What does a slot machine have to do with Game of Thrones?
They should switch which girls you're getting at the brothel. I don't recall a single casino in the show.

Quoted from nate1981s:He was. For two episodes of the first season.
obvious exaggeration, but either way - he was a very popular figure. Fact is they were very short on Meereen/Daenerys characters to choose from. More surprising than him being there, is the lack of Ned Stark. Obviously they were stuck on 3's and there's a lot more than 3 Stark's to choose from.
Quoted from Luckydogg420:I can't believe that a main character would die off camera.
Stannis did.
Quoted from Luckydogg420:So is the hound still alive?
No.
Quoted from Luckydogg420:Is Jon snow?
No, but maybe not for long...
Quoted from Luckydogg420:What about aria's "dancing teacher" from the 1st season? Could he be a faceless man and still around?
Syrio Forel. That would be a common theory...
Quoted from lpeters82:"A Lannister always pays his debt."
That should be the ball save audio.
Quoted from TimeBandit:Or, did he?
Could Brienne have copped a crossbow bolt in the back before she hit him?
Producers say he's dead.
That said, they also said Jon Snow is dead. Which is totally true! However, the red priestess is with Jon Snow and not Stannis....
Quoted from Apollyon:Truth is, it’s been a fan theory for years that, in the books, Sandor is still alive and working as a gravedigger for the Septon. In the Season 4 finale, we don’t actually see Hound die. So it’s very likely he was saved and is now working for Septon Meribald, just like it says in the theory.
Eh. I think that's a stretch, though it did seem much clearer in the books. Of course anything's possible.
Quoted from BillySastard:Who wants the F is this Jack Danger guy and why should I give a shit that he's the one playing GOT? If it's being held at Stern, why not have Lyman play it?
Go to twitch.tv/dead_flip and have a look around. All the streaming he does is getting Stern a lot of good advertising. Stern has been loaning him new games to stream, so this makes sense. Jack is getting a rather large following of his stream.
I follow him a bit and will be watching this. It will be 2+ hours of gameplay, which I suspect you'll agree is better than the standard initial gameplay video we get.
What are the chances that when Stern finally releases an LCD that it's DMD sized? The Spike system is supposed to be flexible enough to be used for years, so chances are it won't be any different when they need it to power an LCD. Would that make the LCD backwards compatible with games like this? It would make the video rips make a whole lot of sense and it would make Stern a whole lot of money selling upgrade packages for all of their Spike system games. Fingers crossed?
Quoted from Jrnyman:Hi Guys,
I hate to smash dreams, but thought I'd give a somewhat "technical opinion" to the answer to this question. The LCD will "likely" use the HDMI Port that is on the SPIKE motherboard, which the DMD does not use. To use the HDMI port means all new code for communication to display the animations, which would be a serious rewrite of the message architecture components of the game's code.... So no, it is not an easy update. And after you get the communication path re-done, then you would need to spend the time to re-render all of the animations into a higher-resolution, color format that can be displayed on an HDMI attached LCD screen. Yes, possible to do, but I doubt Stern would spend the time (and money) to do it on a game that's already out the door.
Of course swapping the DMD for an LCD would also require a code update, but who's to say half that work isn't already done? They obviously have the video clips already because they ran them through the DMD-ifier. Why would it be a serious rewrite to redirect the display output to another port and why would it be game specific? Why couldn't they just do it for whatever new game, then port that to the older games? If they can sell thousands of LCDs for older games at $300 apiece, you don't think they'd consider an investment in some coding for that?
Quoted from RavenBlackthorn:I think that there is definitely some potential here as well. I was mulling over the video mode last night and wondering why I wasn't getting that "Game of Thrones vibe" from that mode with as much sword fighting is in the actual show/books. I'd venture to say that there is a sword fighting sequence (even if it's just practice sparring) in every episode.
I think that if they can code scene depictions from the show, I think there there is a lot of potential for that mode to be cool. Rather than take the "You don't haaave to play the mode if you don't want to.." approach and just dismiss it as people will never play that mode--code it so that people want to pick that mode every time.
Imagine if that mode was coded to depict the sword training between Jon Snow and the rest of the Watch at Castle Black.

Or better yet, what if you code many different sword fighting sequences that spawn depending on what house mode you are pursuing? Say for example, the sword training between Ayra Stark and Syrio Forel?
Arya Start and Syrio Forel.jpg
Or when Jamie Lannister battles Ned Stark?

We could probably pick 3 good examples from every house (whether you are playing as that particular house, or whether you are trying to complete that house mode). If they were to sort of take the sword fighting scenes and make it "stop motion" and add in some custom animation to the sequence, this mode has the potential to be pretty awesome and one that people would opt to play more often.
I actually think it's supposed to be Arya and Syrio. It also says level 1, so maybe the other levels will be different. Maybe when we put a future Stern LCD in it, it'll look better.
Quoted from paulywalnuts23:Anyone that goes by Jack Danger deserves to get kicked in the junk daily. He missed his change to be a part a Jack A** by a decade.
It's not a pseudonym.
The Pro was damn fun to play. The rules were really fleshed out for a launch game. When Werdrick said during the original stream that this was going to be a 10b game, he wasn't kidding. I'm an ok player and was putting up 200m pretty easily. I wanted to get one last game in before leaving expo this morning and put up 1bil on my first try. It was a long player to me, just wait til the good players get a hold of it.
That said, it was awesome for someone like me to blow it up like that.
