Quoted from 85vett:Am I missing something here? I didn't see one pic of a the game itself and people are already lining up to give their money. Have we not learned anything yet? Still buying without seeing based off theme alone. Heck we don't even know whom the designer is nor whom will be coding the game.
I hope it is killer and everyone likes it but when are people going to at least wait until the game is built before going crazy over it
So true.
Quoted from Captain_Kirk:If this thing has an LCD (which I believe it will) and a dragon that interacts with the ball.....Hobbit is toast!
No way.
Quoted from judremy:I guarantee no LCD. No way... Next time, maybe.
I heard they tried using a LCD but had issues and could not get it straight. So no LCD.
Quoted from LOTR_breath:Pretty unbelievable, all the negativity here about GOT. If the playfield artwork were as dark as most of you would rather it be, you wouldn't be able to see the ball.... at all. This is a pinball machine after all, not a painting by Vincent Van Gogh.
Regardless, the expectations on this pinball were sky high. To MOST, this is very disappointing. I must agree....
Quoted from jgentry:I'm still far from impressed. I still think the playfield art is a complete miss. I also don't understand why they have John Snow's head on the cab art twice literally 6 inches apart. This was a title I was really looking forward to but I'm completely uninterested in it. I'll save my money to see what happens with TH, RZ, and Alien. Maybe the gameplay will be awesome and make up for it, it's going to need to.
I totally agree with you. The art work just looks like a beefed up zizzle from Walmart. Come on Stern!
Quoted from kaneda:I'm not making this stuff up. The game is a skittles rainbow light show. For GOT? This pin needed a warm, LOTR like feel and lighting pattern. The HUGE inserts only add to the problem. You shouldn't be able to see a GOT pin from a mile away. It should feel dark, ominous and gritty like the show itself. GOT is a fantasy theme and deserved a fantasy look...this thing lights up like a Christmas Tree. Like literally, me and fellow pinsider were playing and it went all BRIGHT RED and BRIGHT GREEN on us. Don't ever remember that color pattern when watching the show. It's just a miss guys. That's all I'm saying.
I trust your review. Don't worry about what others say. The STERN lovers are going to hate u for this. Thanks for taking the time to give your opinion.
